After being told I had to mail in my payment, Ally deposited mt check and then drafted another from my regular bank. That over drafted my account big time. Called Ally and was told the money could not be put back in my account, they would have to mail me a check. Over a week later, I'm still over drafted and no check. Go through the hassle of their automated phone system to get to a live person. The check was never sent and no one thought I was worth notifying. I'm stuck with over draft charges and the embarrassment that goes with straightening out things with my other bills. Ally get to use my money for free and I pay for it. I would never us Ally again even for a Christmas account.
I tried opening a new account with Ally Bank and they refused to open the account because my wife of 46 years has no credit in her own name. This is the first and only bank in our 46 years of marriage that refused us.
I would not try to get an account with Ally.
Customer service is rude does not comprehend English and they do not understand how to do their jobs. They call 10 times a day even after you talk to them 3 times a day. If you decide to buy a car don't use Ally.
