Horrible customer service!!

Whether you stop by the branch or try to call, you will receive poor customer service. When visiting the branch, the lines are always ridiculously long and the bank seems completely mismanaged. When calling, they rarely answer their phones during business hours, and when they do, it takes 1-2 minutes worth of ringing before they answer. When I called today to see if a wire hit my account, I was told by a lady named Caridad that they are too busy with customers in the branch to be looking up wires for people! When I told her that I would be filing a complaint with corporate, she said 'go ahead' and when I asked her name, she hung up on me. I had to call back to find out her name from another employee. I have an appointment with the manager of the new PNC Bank in Aventura to open 2 business accounts tomorrow, as I will be leaving BBT for good because of this experience! If you are looking to bank somewhere, do not do it here, unless you want your business to be taken for granted and treated poorly!!

Deceptive Loan Practices

Do not do business with this bank. They tried to reduce 100% verified income by 50%, which is illegal per the FTC under the mortgage discrimination laws (complaint was filed). Then they kept trying to add back in student loans that were consolidated, even after I communicated several times that these loans had been conolidated. There is little to no communications or call backs, the underwriting process is weak and deceptive and seems to rely on illegal practices. They then tried to push me into a high fee point loan which would have required high out of pocket costs after selling me on another product that I would have easily qualified for if they would have underwrote the loan correctly.

Lost a 15 year client over $10.00.

If I was you I would never bank at BBT. EVER!!!! I am a 15 year account holder that will be closing my account over a $10.00 fee that they charged and stated that while it was not charged correctly they will not refund it.... Spread the word!!! (Share if you would like!)
