MyBankTracker rated BB&T based on the following criteria that includes real customer reviews and bank fees, among others. Our bank report card is a proprietary rating system that highlights the financial health and stability of the bank.
BB&T bought out my local bank, and though they are generally good if you sit on top of them, their service at distance is horrible. I work and live overseas for months out of the year now, and they really do not have a grasp of dealing online or on the phone with customers. They even are charging $2.00 per BB&T Phone Banking that I must use to try and sort my issues. They send you canned, computer generated answers when you e mail them, so calling them is about your only choice. Stay away if you need a responsive bank that knows how to deal with customers who do not live right around the corner...the "Small Town Feel" does not fit customers who want more than a big smile.
I recently went to change an address for my account for my business. I had the worst service of my life. Never do business with salma. She totally ignores the current customer but focuses only on who's next in line. What? Is the current customer not important? After talking trying to tell her what to do she gets the idea briefly and keeps looking to see who is next. I understand they are busy and rushing but its not an excuse to treat their current customers with disrespectful manners.
We have been banking with BB&T for several years & we were banking at this branch when it was Bank of Louisville. Several of the employees at this branch have worked there for several years. It is nice when you can come into a branch & they know your name.
Thanks to all of you at Hikes Point Branch!
