You people are ridiculous. You claim that they steal your money and screw you but if you followed the rules in the disclosures you received, your accounts would be just fine. And no they don't mess around with the system so you get overdraft fees... The system doesn't allow them to do that. That is all on you. And for those of you complaining about the fees and the recession, thats the frieken point!
We're in a recession so the fees are necessary for businesses to stay open! And no matter what bank you go to these days there are going to be fees. Plus, there are plenty of ways to avoid the fees, if you can't follow them then that's your own damn fault. You people are idiots.... No one is out to get you and your money, you just don't know how to follow the rules and procedures of the bank.
So you're the ignorant ones. Not the bank. I've worked for the company and i know that customers that get angry about fees and such are the ones that are the most ignorant and don't know jack about banking.
If you have a big enough balance to not worry about fees, if you are old enough to get a free checking account, if you like to go to the restroom, if you want a bank deposit box, if you need a good location, good parking, go shop groceries and buy gas nearby, have multiple accounts, this bank is as good as any in beaumont and better than a lot of them. Don't know about other type customers. I don't recommend for iras.
On the BBVA website, in two places, it states that the annual apr earned on their nba savings account is. 995%, with a yield of 1%. False. The actual yield stated on the most recent statement, one week after i opened the account, is. 05%. I opened this account with $85,000. The website still displays the incorrect rate. I'm glad that there is no minimum balance required because i will immediately reduce my account balance to $1 and not even use this account. I will close it in 6 months. If you want a decent yield on an online savings account, then use ge retail online bank, ally bank, or synchrony bank.
