Inquiry about a fee lead me on a wild goose chase for over and hour. The automative system is useless. After being transfer to four department( 2 departments 3x), I have learn you had better unlimited service because this would have cost me double the supposed fee..I am glad I am closing my account with them tomorrow
I had an issue with a paypal transaction for a purchase I made, my Bank of America checking account was debited for the paypal payment. I discovered an issue with the item purchased using paypal. I contacted paypal and the time allowed had elapsed for them to collect so they said if I would file a claim with B of A they would refund to them and I would have my money back. They gave me all of the info required to provide to B of A including a reference number that would trigger them to issue the refund to my account, easy fix, right? Not by any means, I contacted B of A, filed a claim, week later received a "form" letter that they had denied the claim and if I would contact them they would provide the documentation and correspondence used to make the decision. I called and talked to claim rep and asked for review of docs used to make decision, rep could not find a thing and starting reading the "form " letter I had received back to me. I asked if they had contacted paypal regarding the issue and if they had reviewed the paperwork I had sent to them, rep stated they had paperwork but could not tell me what they had done or how they made the decision. I had already contacted paypal management rep and verified B of A had NEVER contacted them. I asked for a supervisor and rep said she was one, would elevate as I had requested. She asked me for a phone number so claims dept could personally contact me, never received a call, just another "from" letter a week later saying claim denied. No wonder they are rated again for the 6-7th year as the worst Company in America for customer service.
