Inquiry about a fee lead me on a wild goose chase for over and hour. The automative system is useless. After being transfer to four department( 2 departments 3x), I have learn you had better unlimited service because this would have cost me double the supposed fee..I am glad I am closing my account with them tomorrow
I am a CPA and my wife is a lawyer. We both are very aware of bank products and services. We were recently treated to a series of customers service experiences that were so bad, they should have been comical. We had a minor problem (closing a deposit box) that required several branch visits, calls to operations areas, finally complaints to the CFPB.
Throughout the experience, we never received a return phone call from any BoA employees. When we finally took an afternoon off to park ourselves in the branch to attempt to resolve the issue, the branch manager spent 45 minutes reciting conflicting procedures and finally sent us away without help. It still continued, with his manager to call us, which also never happened. All the while, fees were continuing to assess for a service we were not using.
Still waiting for anybody to return dozens of phones calls and help us understand why this was such an ordeal and why we had to pay fees for a service we were trying to terminate.
I was a few months from getting 200K mortgage and customer service on 6/6/2014 was just terrible.
I over drafted $4.76 and they couldn't refund my fee due to giving a few back more than a year ago.
I am fed up with Bank of America and I tried in a very very nice manner to tell them that if I couldn't get my fee back that I would go elsewhere after 14 years and the customer service manager literally said he didn't care at all.
I have never wrote a review for any company at any time in my life and I was so disappointed that I refuse to bank there anymore. there are several banks that will give me $100 just to sign up and they couldn't give me my $35 back. Unreal!
Good Luck to all you Bank of America customers, I will never again.
