Hate Hate Hate Boa

Took over 18 months of hell to try and re-fi a simple cash-out loan... Kept stonewalling and then asking for additional information. Run around after run around. We finally went to another lender and closed within 6 weeks. Paid off my credit card in full and discovered 3 months later that a $1. 50 monthly fee was being charged to my account and since we had cut up the card and never used it - i wasn't aware till we tried to get a loan and was told that there was a delinquent on my credit report. I will never voluntarily give boa another dime!

Good at robbing money in white collar way

Actually not giving one start even but there is no option for 0.5 star. They just set fees for something so randomly and then keep charging without notice. they don't even bother to reimburse even if they haven't informed to customer and they don't care about customers even. They just reply do whatever you would like to but we will not reimburse. Their customer care representative even do not have enough information they they will just give different answers as they are not on same page for same issue. Worst experience with this bank and thinking to close all accounts with this bank. Wells Fargo and Chase are far better banking services.

Poor/non existant claim service

I had an issue with a paypal transaction for a purchase I made, my Bank of America checking account was debited for the paypal payment. I discovered an issue with the item purchased using paypal. I contacted paypal and the time allowed had elapsed for them to collect so they said if I would file a claim with B of A they would refund to them and I would have my money back. They gave me all of the info required to provide to B of A including a reference number that would trigger them to issue the refund to my account, easy fix, right? Not by any means, I contacted B of A, filed a claim, week later received a "form" letter that they had denied the claim and if I would contact them they would provide the documentation and correspondence used to make the decision. I called and talked to claim rep and asked for review of docs used to make decision, rep could not find a thing and starting reading the "form " letter I had received back to me. I asked if they had contacted paypal regarding the issue and if they had reviewed the paperwork I had sent to them, rep stated they had paperwork but could not tell me what they had done or how they made the decision. I had already contacted paypal management rep and verified B of A had NEVER contacted them. I asked for a supervisor and rep said she was one, would elevate as I had requested. She asked me for a phone number so claims dept could personally contact me, never received a call, just another "from" letter a week later saying claim denied. No wonder they are rated again for the 6-7th year as the worst Company in America for customer service.
