I filed a claim with boa because i had an unauthorized charge from a bookstore, so after calling the claims department to report it, i then called the bookstore directly and they reimbursed the money to my account. Two days later boa reimbursed the money to me also, so i was given back double the money, now being an honest person, i called to let them know of the error, and had to press 1 for english, then remain on the phone for over fifteen minutes pressing buttons and listening to an automated voice mail, i absolutely hate that, and for trying to do the right thing, i think this is completely unfair, you're customers want to speak with a human, not a computer!
Tried to resolve a common problem with my account in a chat window. Had to go through four different "specialists" to get my problem resolved. Had to explain my problem four times. I got tired of being turned over to a new person. I was not rude. What ridiculous service.
I went to a bank of america branch to purchase mexican pesos for an upcoming trip. When the teller gave me the receipt for the transaction, i saw that they were giving me a little over 7 pesos to the us dollar. At home, looked up the exchange rate for that day and it was over 14 pesos to the dollar. I called the bank and cancelled the purchase. The manager said he had already put the order in but that he would send the pesos back. When the pesos arrived, the manager called to confirm my desire to cancel. He told me that bank of america would refund my money at a lower rate. In the end, i was charged $80. 00 for this cancellation. Never use bank of america for foreign currency purchase. Their rates are unfair and the process is rediculous
