In the years that I have had Bank of America not once have they ever helped me through any situation. I am an active duty military soldier who has served this nation for six years. Due to my job I have been stationed in Italy, Louisiana, and Hawaii. Not any of these places had a bank of america except one in Italy, but other banks have ATMs on military installations. I have had to pay the ATM fee and a separate charge for not using a bank of america ATM. Even though I am serving this nation and do not choose to live at these places, bank of america would never waive my fee. When I was deployed and couldn't be around a phone or internet, my checking would often get overdrawn, but they wouldn't auto switch the money from my savings. When I would call I often felt like they would just hang up to avoid having to deal with me. It was one of the most stressful things to have to deal with. I know none of my friends that have this bank any longer the ones like me that made the mistake and opened an account with them, hate this whole corporation. They steal money, have no sense of compassion. They don't have anything to offer a military soldier in a time of need and they will forever be a prime example of a corperation that thinks they deserve something more and don't have to abide by simple principles of good character because they put the name of our country in their name. If you are reading this please ... please don't get this bank behind you.
I called in because I made a deposit at the 2305 East Cesar E Chavez Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90033, to make at deposit before my the day had ended, which the following day I still got a fee, there are no signs posted that you must make it before 8pm any where on that atm (Which I still have pictures of on my phone). So I called in to get it taken off of my account, both people refuse, because it applied correctly according to them. Both were extremely rude, and talked over me, just seemed like they didn't care at all, The Manager would not address my concerns at all, all he did was point be back to the terms of my account, which I pointed out to him the technology did not exist when I opened the account so they were not in my terms. he just still refused and said there online, like anyone has time to go look at every page of the online website, he did not once show any empathy and sounded like he was just having a over all bad day.
$31 it cost to order new checks. Are you serious??? Customer service is hit or miss and I have had multiple times where the 1-800 customer service has told me something to be told by the branch manager something different. Not worth the time or fees they love to charge at any opportunity! And the interest rates for savings accounts are a complete joke, don't even bother!
