Great service and cool products at this bank. Fees and charges very low compared to other banks. They allow all kinds of ways to avoid or lower fees on their checking accounts, it's awesome. Plus, their mobile banking is great! I get balance alerts that tell me when I'm getting low in my checking and what's come through my account. They even have an overdraft alert that lets me know when I'm negative, and I can transfer funds from my savings to avoid the overdraft BEFORE it happens. Check this out, I can transfer money through my cell from savings to checking if I want to buy something and need more money, and it's immediate. Coolest thing ever. This is one of the oldest banks in town, but on cutting edge with the latest and greatest technology for banking. You're not a number here. I like the fact that if I have a problem, I can talk to someone and get help. Best of both worlds here, service and awesome technology.
This bank is, by far, the worst bank I've ever dealt with. Their fees and charges are absurdly high. They have, on more than one occasion, lost checks that I have deposited. When I tried to have a Mastercard charge reversed from the Mastercard I carry through this bank, the bank manager told me they weren't "allowed" to do this - it took a call through the district manager's office to get the charge reversed.
When I attempted to deposit my VA disability check this week, they refused to handle the transaction. I ended up having to drive to the Palo Alto VA financial office (a two hour drive) to get the check cashed, because the teller couldn't figure out what to do, and the bank manager was incapable of making a decision.
Do not bank with these people. You will regret it.
