After about a year watching bill pay checks post a week after the "deliver by" date, Capital One hits me with 3 NSF fees @ $35 each the first time my account is low before pay day.
You can't link a rewards savings to a rewards checking for overdraft. Instead, you can opt for a line of credit with yearly fees OR switch to a non-rewards savings account. This was news to me. The bank basically wiped out a years worth of rewards I had saved up and forced me to close my rewards savings.
At the local branch. after getting my accounts sorted, the banker tries to sell me on a Home Equity loan. After research, this loan was not in my best interest.
So I see how this bank works now.
I would just like to say that I do not care for Capital One's TV commercial with Samuel L. Jackson! I find it very offensive that he comes into my house and has to use the word "damn" to me and my children to try and get a point across.
For this reason alone, I will never do business with this bank in any form or fashion! When they send me their garbage in the mail, I plan to cut every bit of it up and send it back to them in their postage paid return envelope and let them incur the cost.
I hope others who feel the same way will join me and send a message to Capital One that this is not how you do business with the public.
The current commercial with Samuel Jackson is absolutely revolting and embarrassing. After seeing it aired over and over again, and our children expressing their shock when they said, "That man on there is cussing!" We have decided to never do business with Capital One ever again. The language on this commercial is not necessary. It may be no big deal to many people, but why offend anybody when that kind of language is just not necessary. Go away please!
