“Citizens Bank pays its customers”
They don't take your money with excessive fees. Instead they pay you for using various features of your checking account. The savings account plan will help you reach your goal, track your goal, then they reward you with a gift certificate when you reach your goal. If you are considering a big bank look to Citizens Bank first.

“They USED TO be awsome...”
I used to be a die hard citizens bank customer.. But now... They switch my information and hold withdrawls so I can overdraft.. Its horrible.. And I know they do it because I check my account everyday until my transaction has gone thru!
They're just another money hungry bank now.... It's sad but true!

“More of a protection racket than a bank!”
Its not so much the rates thats get me because they seem fairly middle of the road, its the fact that the citizens bank epitomises everything that is bad with banking these days. Their entire philosophy seems to be to squeeze as much money as humanly possible out of people through fees and charges for anything and everything, they make you feel like you should pay THEM for giving them YOUR money to keep in a bank account! They will give you absolutely nothing in return i promise you.
My wife got overdrawn on her account - our fault i dont deny it - bought coffee here, something to eat there, gas etc etc probably totalling 50 or 60 dollars, citizens hit her with $35 per transaction she ended up paying around 350 in fees! I cant prove it but im sure they delay putting payments through just so you miss deadlines and they can slap an other $35 on there too. After that the only reason she kept the account open was because her child support was set up to it but they STILL charge you just for the privelage of having an account open whether your overdrawn or not! Some b/s reason about not using your debit card enough or some other garbage, we closed it today i shudder to think of how much money we have paid out to them.
Please please do not use this bank. The industry will never change if vampires like them keep making money through exhorbitant charges and fees rather than, you know, actually being a good bank.
