They have always been extremely helpful not only in our personal bank business but we have been handling an estate for 4 years and the estate account is there. They are always willing to go the extra mile for us.
Thought I was finally rid of citizens but it keeps getting better. Now, I'm finalizing a refinance and the bank has not removed the lien for the line that I closed. Not only do they put me through hell and all manner of fees just to terminate the line but they are screwing with my refi now. I've been on the phone for twenty minutes, have confirmed its closed but they won't give me a letter saying they will remove the lien. I need to speak with a different dept apparently. Terminated the line 2 months ago. Now I'm speaking to customer service who can't figure out why the lien wasn't released. I am a lawyer. I have never written a review of anything in my life. I am not a squeaky wheel but I intend to devote a real portion of my limited time to finding some recourse for the hell I have been put through.
Hi mborzy, we received your email and will have someone from our Office of the Chairman call you. Thanks for reaching out!
I gave them another try after winning a suit against them a few years ago and opened a small business account. Big mistake! I made a mistake in subtraction and overdrew .34, and I was charged $35. I went to the ATM the day I received the notice to deposit the funds, but the receipt said I was still overdrawn $6.99! They were charging me daily! Last I knew the law says you can only charge an extended overdraft fee ONE time. I guess they are above the law. I called and was basically told "too bad". I am sorry I gave them a second chance. Should have known better. I will be closing my account tomorrow.
