I have been with this bank 30+ years and through a few name changes, such as name when first founded changed > to Mason Rd. changed > to Questar changed > to Comerica etc. I can not speak for any other branch, but 810 Mason Rd. is very courteous, professional, kind, and helpful. It has been and still is a pleasure to do business with people who treat others as they would like to be treated. Now that they are Comerica, I know that the rules have changed, but the service has remained the same. Great job 810 S. Mason Rd. staff. May God bless you as you continue to treat everyone with dignity and respect.
Stay away, unless you enjoyed banking in the 90's.
The people who work inside the branch are really nice, but unfortunately, they'll tell you themselves they are kind of at the mercy of a corporate office that has out of date, slow, unreasonable policies that haven't changed in 20 years.
Plus, if convenience or the use of technology are important to you, Comerica will frustrate you.
Let me illustrate: Our first check deposit at the ATM was held for 5 business days while it went through. Other banks have systems that communicate electronically with other banks, so your check clears in a day, maybe two. Not Comerica. Their antiquated systems still use old ways of verifying funds that can take a week.
Or how about this example: I tried to deposit a check from another person at another institution that had insufficient funds. Comerica's response? They froze OUR debit cards, locked us out of OUR online account, and froze all 4 accounts we have with them --- without a courtesy call or notice! I found out while trying to use my debit card at a store. Embarrasing!
So after a phone call, they provided me with a way to resolve everything and I promptly followed their steps that very day. It did not work. They told me somebody from a corporate office would call me to get things resolved. She didn't. I left four messages with her over two days. None were returned. It is now 5 business days, one whole week later, and my wife and I still cannot access our own money.
If the possibility of what happened above doesn't freak you out, then let me finish the job. When I work with the employees at the branch, they are as baffled as I am, and have no idea how to resolve things.
Worst experience ever. Don't buy into the sales talk about them being small so they can do more personalized banking. They are a national bank that keeps a small appearance so they don't have to spend money on things like technology, integration, informed employees, or more branches and ATMs.
It is the worst bank in Michigan this bank is a trainee bank . 3 years ago I got sick of there BS and rules about check there cashing policy I closed my account, since then never received a statement or anything else from them and just recently I received a letter that said overdrawn account balance of -$53.99 I walked into the branch and tried to explain the problem, all she say to me is I am sorry you have to pay the 53.99 for inactive account which should have closed 3 years ago. Comerica is getting away with murder with there rules and regulation. there out to screw you any way possible.
