I've been a customer with 5/3rd for over 10 years and the quality of their banking services and consistently gone downhill. Technologically they are lacking many of the benefits you will find with other banking institutions. And the fees - there is a fee for everything! All of the customer service call centers are overseas too - good lucking speaking to someone who you can understand! The deal breaker was forcing me into a checking account with a monthly maintenance fee! I even stopped into a local branch and talked to a rep and she was completely unsympathetic and did absolutely nothing to retain me as a customer. I would shop around for a better bank or cu.
We unfortunately used 5/3 for our mortgage. This is our 7th mortgage and by far the worst. Rates were misquoted, communication horrible, and customer service appalling. We're still waiting for s credit for points that we had in writing would not be applied.
Our experience setting up a checking account was even worse.
I would only recommend 5/3 to my worst of enemies.
