Years ago I used their ATM machine, using a card from another bank. The guy in front of me was very angry. He was elderly so I figured he didn't understand technology. I use the machine, and everything seems alright. However, when it said it was dispensing cash nothing came out. I went in and reported it. They said they had to review it. I kept calling and calling for months and they said they were still investigating. I finally gave up and got screwed out of $80.
I boycotted them for years. Then I get an offer in the mail from them for a free $100. Cool, I figured I would join that and it would make up for the $80 they stole from me. I entered the promotional code online and it said redeemed. I went into the bank and they told me that offer is expired. I asked how is this possible since the expiration date hasn't been reached. They said they canceled the offer. I told them it's false advertising, and nowhere did it say they could cancel the promotion early.
Their employees are the rudest people on earth. If you bank with Huntington your a total sucker.
I bank at the shadyside, ohio branch. I have been a customer for 13 years. I have had my bank card number stolen twice, the 2nd time being just as recent as yesterday. Huntington saw that a charge was trying to go through on my card that wasn't familiar to my account and blocked it. The transaction was put through a second time at a much smaller amount that then went through times 2. Many years ago, my card number was stolen and caused turmoil for my account.
Huntington was right on it, replaced the money stolen from me then went after that person/persons for the money. Had it gone any other way, it would have been horrible for me. Their employees are always on top of their game and greet us all by first name when walking in or using the drive through. I have nothing but good to say and i highly recommend them for your banking needs. I can't say enough nice things about this particular branch.
I recently moved to indianapolis, in from texas. Since the bank i used in texas does not operate in indiana, i was forced to open an account with a different bank, for some reason i chose huntington. I opened my account, made my opening deposit and when meeting with the manager, requested a direct deposit form to submit to my employer. Everyone was super nice and the branch manager filled out the form personally before printing it off. I was really impressed by the level of personal service i received; that is, until my first payday came and went with no deposit made to my account.
To make a long story short, both the routing number and account number the manager placed on my direct deposit form were wrong. Not only were they wrong, but no one at the branch seems the least bit concerned that while they're wasting time passing the blame from one person to another, my missing paycheck problem has still not been resolved. I would have been upset had any paycheck been lost, but i would be a little more understanding had this not been my first check after moving to a new city and opening an account at a new bank. I am now living off my meager savings while the representatives at huntington bank, michigan rd.
Branch continue to do absolutely nothing about rectifying my situation. I would warn anyone to think twice before doing business here.
