Trying to apply for an extension on my loan is consistently an awful experience. Key Bank does not care about your hardships, only their money. This is in surprising, stark contrast to federal loans through AES, who are very helpful and understanding.
First I am screened by a lower level representative who has canned responses. After speaking with the person for a while, they finally pass me on to someone who can actually help.
The problem I just experienced: I had an extension last year, which ran from January to March. I called for a second extension in November, and was informed that there needed to be a year in between the extensions, and that I could call back in January.
After multiple bouts of back and forth, and pleading my case (I just need a break from their payments so that I can recover from the costs of having a baby) I finally find out that I actually need to wait until March to reapply. Why did the 4 or 5 other people I spoke with along the way not mention this to me earlier, rather than wasting my time?
Now I'll be waiting until March, hoping that I can support my family and Key Bank at the same time.
Key Bank is not for its customers, charge for everything, lots of promises that are not kept, there is no banking at key, terrible bank, the absolute worst bank
Teller didn't even greet me, or tell me to have a great day, worst service ever will be closing my account when I can. Noone should ever be treated that way when they do there buisness with them. Will not be recommending this bank to anyone ever . However todd was great to his customer
