This has to be the worst bank. I really would like to start a lawsuit against them for their mistakes costing me money. They constantly change information and dates on transactions, take forever to clear checks, do not have up to date transaction info. I received two overdraft fees for their mistakes but they backpedaled and changed dates on my account to make it appear as though it was my fault.
My advice (and i wish i would've followed this myself) is to take daily screen shots and save as well as print these with the date of save and print somewhere clear so that if you encounter the same problem you have evidence to back yourself up. They do dirty business, and on second thought, you should just run in the opposite direction of any key bank you may have even the tiniest inclination to walk in to. Horrible service, they are rude and incompetent and i can't believe i put up with their crap for five years, but no more. Switched banks and got $100 for doing it. Screw you key.
Key Bank is the worst. I made Deposit with a check. The check was from a local bank a block away. I needed to cover an auto withdrawal happening the following day. I asked "should I go to the other bank, cash the check and deposit cash here?" Key employee said "no" the hold on the funds will be lifted before the auto withdrawal goes through. Fine. Did my due diligence knowing how shady Key is. Didn't matter. $38 stolen in overdraft fee.. How does MY MONEY TAKE DAYS TO BECOME AVAILABLE TO ME, WHEN THE MONEY I SPEND GOES THROUGH IN A BLINK? One word (two words)....as$ hole$
I just closed my checking account that I opened in 1976 when I became an employee of The Cleveland Trust Company (a distant ancestor of the current Key Bank). I won't go into details, but Key Bank's attitude, consistent failure to even appear to want me as a customer have driven me to move 2 business accounts and my personal accounts to another bank.
They simply don't care.
They didn't even ask me WHY I was closing an account that I have used for 39 years.
Today I received notice that I had overdrawn my closed account because they are still charging me fees for a CLOSED account.
There are banks that do want your business. US Bank is one that I can recommend.
It's your money, take it somewhere else.
