I joined Rabobank about 8 years ago when my bank of 20 + years (WA Mutual and its predecessors) refused to give me a credit card--I didn't have bad credit, just no credit rating. Rabobank was willing to give me a 'starter' card. And lo and behold, I discovered this wonderful bank with a fascinating history and a global presence and moves with social and environmental consciousness. Everyone at my branch (Santa Cruz CA) is warm and personable and the bank has a family feeling to it. Any problems I have (mostly on my end) have been dealt with graciously and with good humor. I like this bank so much that when I moved to WA state, which has no Rabobank presence, I stayed with the bank, in spite of having to go through the hassle of mailing checks and so on. How many people can actually say "I love my bank."
Overdraft ? Deposit made and credited, not pending, as indicated online, no overdraft at the time. Next day online completely different posting shows up as an overdraft. They changed the online crediting to show overdraft ocurring before deposit ! They charged fees of $60.00. I have been a customer of this bank for over 20 years and have 4 accounts with over $40,000.00 The greed and unethical practices of this bank require me to take action and I'm sorry about this because until the summer of 2013 I was completely satisfied with this institution. Now I have completely lost trust and confidence in Rabo Bank.
This Branch says it's a new rule: they are now trying to charging me a petty little fee of $3.00 dollars to cash a Robobank made account check.
I'm a Manager of a large company that has a million dollar account in Robobank.
So with this new rule they tell me that been in effect over a year now I can do my company deposits but now I can't cash my company petty cash checks from Robobank without a cash charge of $3 dollar at the time I cash the Robobank printed check.
Seems dumb to now to charge me this fee since the my petty cash company check comes from Robobank as a check. Company I work for has an account with the Bank, but since I personally not has a robobank account they charge me this cash out of my pocket fee of $3. I'm unhappy to pay this new fee.
