This place makes me sick. The branch manager acts like she is 14. She is very condescending. They also sneak in a ton of things on your account. Make sure you tell the csr you want to opt out of overdraft protection. This only means that they cant charge a fee if you overdraft your account. They dont want you to know that of course, but thats how it is. Trust me noone at this branch will take the time to explain anything. This is the most awful customer service i have seen in a very very very long time. I would never dream of talking to someone much less a customer the way the branch manager did. The csr is a piece of work herself. Easy when the branch manager is full of it. You know what they say, lead by example, right? Good thing i moved and no longer have to deal with these uneducated fools. Furthermore, i will never ever bank with regions if thats the kind of person they choose to represent their bank! Sick. Regions is a rip off.they charge you a $36 overdraft fee even if you didn't over draw your account. I was told I swiped my card too many times in one day. 3 times is hardly too many times. I called customer service and they only would take off 1 charge I was ok with that cause I had a check clear and my debit purchase did overdraw so 1 $36 fee was mine. After they refunded 1 fee they went back and added another $36 fee for the same charge that was already charged a fee. So now I have $72 in overdraft for the same charge. I went to the Fayetteville branch and was told they should have never refunded me anything because I swiped my card too many time. Then to top it all off my sister is sending me a money electronically for my kids Christmas they did a trial deposit for .90 and now they are charging me $36 overdraft fee. This bank is full of shit. There customer service sucks. They do not care how they treat there customers. Had I seen these reviews I would have never banked with them. I will be shopping for a new bank. Thanks regions for stealing my kids Christmas with over charging me in overdraft fees that are not legit.
We had a $175 fraudulent charge on our checking account. First we had to wait for it to clear to dispute it. That took 2 days. Then we had to dispute it by paper, in a branch. In this digital age there has got to be a better way. Then, they charged me $144 in overdraft fees which would have never been needed if this fraudulent charge hadn't appeared. Now we have to wait 10 business days, with thanksgiving 3 days away, to possibly see the charges lifted and also the overdraft fees lifted. They lifted the overdraft fees once, then put them back on. We are out $319 through no fault of our own, and the customer service department will not go out of their way to help a good customer. They will only go by their script on the phone, they won't help me anymore than this, very unhelpful 3 days before thanksgiving. I will be forced to shop for a new bank with better fraud protection, better customer service, and a bank who will do more for their customers especially if this hasn't happened in the past. I have called 3 times, 3 separate days asking for help. the second call I asked for a manager and was hung up on and they did not call me back even though I have my phone number on my account. The 3rd call resulted in the save old script. It can take up to 10 days to investigate.
