Long story short! I read these horrible reviews... Then i opened an account (yes stupid me! ) i thought to myself, no bank can honestly be that bad. Can they? Yes..Oh yes they can. I'm not one to air "dirty laundry. " but i will tell you this.. In two weeks, two weeks mind you.. They managed to mess up my savings and checking. Charged me two nsf fees (which in fairness to them they did refund ) saying "this is very unusual. Blah blah blah." but then...
They proceeded to put a "hold" on my account... (which i didn't even know about until i called them) when they put a hold on an account the account holder is welcome to make deposits.. But cant do anything else. Cant use a debit card. Cant make a withdrawal. Literally. Nothing. They say this is done to protect your account. Lol.. Really? Seriously?
Not to mention.. Messing up two check orders back to back. Like i said in the beginning.. This is my fault for not trusting the reviews i read.Take it from me. Do yourself a favor. Believe these reviews... People including me aren't wasting time signing up to post reviews just for the fun of it. Oh. I almost forgot! Regions charges $25 per account (savings and checking) if you close your account within six months!
Recently, I had noticed unreasonable amounts of hold time on Certified checks from another local bank. But nothing could have prepared me for the Thievery by Bank that I am currently experiencing...I deposited $30,000 into my Regions Bank from another personal account in another local (Nashville) bank. I can see the funds were taken out of the first bank and yet 5 days later, the thieves at Regions have charged me a $72 overdraft and are still showing that I am 'overdrawn".
I will be in their office Monday morning...I will never ever cross their threshold again...I am disappointed but I must get out of their bank.
Regions Bank, in my opinion, seems like it deliberately does not list all of my transactions in the "Pending Transactions" just so it can have a reason to charge me an overdraft fee because I do not have an account with a significant amount of excess funds in it and hoped I could get a small amount of help until the next month with minimal fees. I also feel that someone thinks I am going to use the money they do not show as being deducted for new transactions. A situation has already arisen when I was charged NSF fees that I would not have been charged if the normal procedure the bank had been using since the account was opened had been used on that particular day. I was given a partial refund of the fees, but I was still out of $35.00 that I should not have been. Also, I was told that I was eligible for Standard Overdraft Protection, but all checks I wrote were returned. On top of that, they were returned a total of three (3) times costing me over $300 - again, a set of fees that should not have been. So, this bank is not on my good side, not that it really matters. And, it can never do anything that will change the way I feel. I have already stated to the BBB that I will never be satisfied with the bank's decision - and, I am still not satisfied, even after the partial refund.
