I was unfortunatley drawn to suntrust for a new mortgage on a home we were interested in buying. With a closing date in the way distant (3 mos as requested by the sellers), all was well. 1 month before closing, we had delivered all of the items that were required for the underwriters to proceed and the closing date and time had been settled as the date recommended by suntrust. Based on their information, we gave our notice to our apartment rental and scheduled movers. Unfortunately for us, the closing date came and went. We had to leave our apartment as they had rented out to someone else. We had no place to keep our furniture and had no place to stay. We are almost a week into this and there is still no news from them. We are continuing to pay for a hotel and storage fees. Excuses of overbooked underwriters is no longer acceptable to me. Managers won't return a call and are apparently fine with everyone else receiving my wrath. "dream house and good rates are too good to be true" should be their new motto.
My credit card company charged me hefty fees because of Suntrust. When I did an automatic payment from my checking account which is linked to a larger savings account, the bank posted insufficient funds. What a hassle. Now I have to call Suntrust to find out why this happened and re-pay the credit card company. I am not sure why the Pantops Suntrust branch is so screwed up, but I really love the branches that are further away from my home in town. Only recently (in the last 6 months or so) has this branch gotten competent bank tellers who smile at you and greet you. Devin is the BEST!
This bank is very unprofessional. I went to change my address and the teller tells me I dont stay in pne place for to long.... excuse me I moved after living in a place for two years, and what is it any of her business if I moved every two months. Instead of helping me with my situationshe was being very judgemental and rude.As well me going to change my address was pointless she didn't even change it and my check is goingg to my old address. In the two years I've banked with them I've never had a problem until now. GLAD my account is closed with them
