I was unfortunatley drawn to suntrust for a new mortgage on a home we were interested in buying. With a closing date in the way distant (3 mos as requested by the sellers), all was well. 1 month before closing, we had delivered all of the items that were required for the underwriters to proceed and the closing date and time had been settled as the date recommended by suntrust. Based on their information, we gave our notice to our apartment rental and scheduled movers. Unfortunately for us, the closing date came and went. We had to leave our apartment as they had rented out to someone else. We had no place to keep our furniture and had no place to stay. We are almost a week into this and there is still no news from them. We are continuing to pay for a hotel and storage fees. Excuses of overbooked underwriters is no longer acceptable to me. Managers won't return a call and are apparently fine with everyone else receiving my wrath. "dream house and good rates are too good to be true" should be their new motto.
For the 2nd time in the last couple months, I've been charged fees that are new to the account. Did they tell me about them changing? Sure, but they were hidden on the statement. No forgiveness either - dirty tricks. They've charged me a hidden fee for the last time - closing all my accounts. Good riddance!
I have been in business for 5 years and have been with Sun Trust since I started my business. I put over 100K a year through this bank, I have a high 700 score and never late, no bad marks on my credit, my business always shows a profit but yet when I tried to get a business loan to expand my company, all I was approved for was a lousy $2500 credit card, wow! My business spends $1000 a month just on fuel, how much help would this credit card really do??? I already have credit cards with higher limits, why would I want just another small credit card???
I'm considering moving to another bank, something less commercial and more local/business friendly.
