A very bad experience

Three months ago, TD Bank called and offered us a good deal to establish a new line of credit. Bad experience from the beginning. Computer systems down, calls not returned, promises unkept. I wish I would have walked away right away. They delayed the process for months, reneged on the promised rate, and blamed everything on the bad housing market. The truth is that they don't know what they are doing...as quietly admitted by some of their employees. My experience occurred at their Media, PA office but their back office operation in NJ is also a big part of the problem. Stay away if you can. Informer Commerce Bank customers must really be noticing the change.

Clueless and Robbed!

I'm not a TD Bank customer and after today I can definitively say I never will be. I stop at this ATM on my way to work for cash (my bank reimburses other bank's fees). Towards the end of the transaction as the machine is about to dispense my money, the screen freezes then goes black. I go inside to ask to speak with someone. I'm told to wait. I wait. There's a woman sitting at a desk not helping anyone stairing at her computer monitor. Not wanting to be late for work, I go over to speak with her. She tells me to have a seat doesn't even want to know what I need to explain to someone. Then another customer comes him from the ATM something similar happened to her. She and I start talking and I start telling customers in line what happened real loud like. Finally that gets the attention of the assistant branch manager who comes over. I finally get to tell her what happened. She doesn't know what to do and makes a few phone calls. By the end of these conversations she just asks me for my contact information. I have no idea what to do in this situation. Should they!?! I go across the street and print out MY bank ledger showing the transaction ID and that TD Bank's ATM withdrew money from my account. I walk back over to give it to them and say, "balance the machine and the cash should be off. Also, there are cameras you will clearly see no cash was dispensed" and left. About an hour or more later the branch manager calls me to say there's nothing they can do and I need to file a dispute with my bank in order for them to investigate. Lydia was her name and she was not nice, sympathetic or informed that customers are not knowledgeable to corporate bank policies but her employees should have been instaed of wasting my time today. Horrible horrible place!

How about reading the paper work.

I worked in the customer service over the phone for TD bank. I've read more then half of the reviews from these people and you are all being just ridiculous. Do not get me wrong TD has it's moments where they do something completely uncalled for or just plain stupid, but for the most part TD is a good bank. You all want to complain or whine or say about how TD robbed you. READ THE PAPER WORK, that's what it's there for! When they took over Riverside and the former Riverside customers started complaining about the Monthly maintenance fee's, one question I would always ask did you receive your checks and debit card. Of course the answer was always yes, well guess what buddy the paperwork was in that packet! There is a part where you need to grow up and take responsibility for YOUR money. The OD fee's I understand a little more but most people who call in and say " I DIDN'T KNOW!" That's crap too. The customer service reps are noting accounts, if your rude it's noted when you are educated on how pending and posted transactions work it's noted. So seriously stop trying to pull bullsh*t. When you've had 100's of dollars worth of fees. You people also need to understand that if a rep is being rude. How about you try being nice to someone calling you a c*nt or a*shole or d*ckhead because you are unable to manage your account. There is only so much a person can take. I just love how most of the "complainers" are talking about fee's go ahead and move banks because if you overdraft your account EVERY financial institution has the right to charge overdraft fees! If you want to avoid them then MANAGE YOUR MONEY!
