Horrible! Disgusting Thieves

This bank is the worst ever! They have all those commercials claiming they are human? It is a damn lie! They are horrible people, both their customer service team members and their so-called supervisors.

They charged me an overdraft fee for a pending item which they claim made my account negative. Then when THE SAME item final posts, they charge me another overdraft fee for the same freaking item. And then they claim, when it was pending, you account went negative. Well, when it stopped pending, why didn't you return my 35 dollars? Why on earth would you charge me another 35 dollars when it finally posted the following day. Horrible thieves. A bunch of thieves.

"Hello and welcome to TD bank and what can I do to make your day better?" should be more like "Hello and welcome to TD bank, what can I do to make your life a living nightmare?" I have had numerous issues with TD bank and this week has been the final straw.

I traveled to London 4 years ago and informed the bank via phone and in person that I would be traveling to the UK and gave them the exact dates. I was told it was "taken care of" and when I got to London, my account was frozen. I was stranded there with no money.

I moved to the UK 2 years ago and used my account with them for emergencies. I called and also in person informed them of this. It was always "taken care of". My account was frozen numerous times due to "suspicious transactions" (WHICH WERE ME!). Every time I traveled around Europe, I would call and speak to an agent on the phone informing them of where I would be and the exact dates. Again my account was frozen in Paris, Venice, and in Spain.

This past Friday, someone got a hold of my debit card information and purchased a plane ticket TO DUBAI ! I have been constantly on the phone and have gone into the bank IN PERSON to discuss this. When I called TD bank, I was told that my account was frozen and to go to the bank to issue a new card. I went into the bank and MY CARD WAS STILL ACTIVATED ! Thank god nothing else was charged but STILL, that's a bit unnerving. I have been told that "they cannot do anything at the moment for me until the transactions clear". They can't even investigate. I am sorry but with FRAUD, you should be able to do something to put me a bit more at ease.

Once this is settled (and I am sure I will be charged with a bunch of their HIDDEN FEES for something that wasn't my fault), I will be closing my account with TD bank and going elsewhere. I should be comfortable with my bank and not constantly stressed out and worried . I don't trust these people to handle my money.

I have been a member for over 20 years including when it was commerce bank. Since it has been td bank i have had many bad experiences but this is the worst. On november 1, 2012 at 6:30 pm i walked in and i waited to see a customer representative to see about closing my account due to a maintenance fee. Stephanie greeted me and asked if she could help me. While talking i had asked her some questions about a student account to see if i could get free checking. When she asked me my age she informed me that i did not qualify, as you had to be younger. Therefore, i asked her to close my account and distribute to me the 250. 28 that i had left in my account. She did all the proper procedures rather coldly without smiling or responding very friendly to me when i tried to spark up a small conversation, however, she did her job and exited to retrieve my cash. When she returned i briefly looked inside the envelope, however, i did not count the amount correctly. When i left the building i went to wells fargo, which is right next-door and began to count my money that she gave to me and i noticed that i was $80. 00 short. I immediately returned to td bank and asked stephanie if i had dropped any money because i was missing some cash. She became very rude and told me no and that she cannot tell me what i did with my money after i leave the bank and that she is not responsible for it. She also angrily said to me that she watched me count it in front of her. I was rather nervous due to the economy today and hoping that some how she could help me so i nicely explained to her that i know and i realize that but i must have not counted it properly because i'm missing money and i only have 170. 00. She then stormed off to the teller counter and disappeared from my sight. I had to ask the teller where she went and he told me she was counting the drawer. She then came back and gave me the 80 dollars and said sorry but never apologized how rude and angry she acted. I closed my account and will never return.
