This bank is the worst ever! They have all those commercials claiming they are human? It is a damn lie! They are horrible people, both their customer service team members and their so-called supervisors.
They charged me an overdraft fee for a pending item which they claim made my account negative. Then when THE SAME item final posts, they charge me another overdraft fee FOR THE SAME FREAKING ITEM. And then they claim, when it was pending, you account went negative. Well, when it stopped pending, why didn't you return my 35 dollars? Why on earth would you charge me another 35 dollars when it finally posted the following day. Horrible thieves. A bunch of thieves.
My wife has had an account with this bank for years. I've begged her numerous times to dump them due to their antics but she would not listen. The other day she discovered that someone had compromised her iTunes account to which she had attached her TD bank card. She was fraudulently charged $100 via the account for a gift card that was subsequently drained. Apple was very helpful and helped us clean up and secure the iTunes account. They told us to go to our bank and have them charge back the $100. We went to TD and told them of the fraudulent charge.
They said the charge was still waiting in the que. We said then put a hold on it, they said we cannot do that. We said then to put a stop order on it, they said we cannot do that. So what are we supposed to do, hope nothing happens but if it does then what? Will they charge it back and give us the credit for the fraudulent $100 charge. No, because they see we use that debit card for buy iTunes stuff on a regular basis they cannot prove that it was a fraudulent charge. Are you frigging kidding me?
We showed them the statements from Apple and gave them the security and fraud technician's name and phone number for a call back if they had any doubt. No can do. What a pathetic piece of shit this dump of a bank is. Avoid at all costs, they could care less about you especially if your being ripped off.
I worked in the customer service over the phone for TD bank. I've read more then half of the reviews from these people and you are all being just ridiculous. Do not get me wrong TD has it's moments where they do something completely uncalled for or just plain stupid, but for the most part TD is a good bank. You all want to complain or whine or say about how TD robbed you. READ THE PAPER WORK, that's what it's there for! When they took over Riverside and the former Riverside customers started complaining about the Monthly maintenance fee's, one question I would always ask did you receive your checks and debit card. Of course the answer was always yes, well guess what buddy the paperwork was in that packet! There is a part where you need to grow up and take responsibility for YOUR money. The OD fee's I understand a little more but most people who call in and say " I DIDN'T KNOW!" That's crap too. The customer service reps are noting accounts, if your rude it's noted when you are educated on how pending and posted transactions work it's noted. So seriously stop trying to pull bullsh*t. When you've had 100's of dollars worth of fees. You people also need to understand that if a rep is being rude. How about you try being nice to someone calling you a c*nt or a*shole or d*ckhead because you are unable to manage your account. There is only so much a person can take. I just love how most of the "complainers" are talking about fee's go ahead and move banks because if you overdraft your account EVERY financial institution has the right to charge overdraft fees! If you want to avoid them then MANAGE YOUR MONEY!
