I live in Texas but have an account I set up in college - 15 years ago. I am closing on a house this week. UMB is forcing me to come to a local branch in order to withdrawal the money for closing. This is despite me living 8 hours away. Today I will start my journey to secure MY money. This is ridiculous customer service in a world where everything is done without being in person.
I have moved all of my banking over to this UMB branch. Every aspect of this branch is terrific - the people, the banking products and the location. It never gets too crowded and I'm always in and out within 5 minutes.
Let me just say I have been with this branch for 30 plus years and since the management, they treat me worse than a new customer after paying them over $400,000 in interest over the years, never missed a payment and always paid on time, then they want to call your note or raise the interest rate and charge additional fees for BS.
