Us bank, as i was told, is growing. While i am not sure what that exactly means but what i can see is they wouldn't be able to "grow" much - at least not vertically. They seem to be getting fatter because they have more fat brains working for them. Take the internet banking for example, it's could be and should be rated as the worst service from a major banking institution. The presentation of the online banking website is stupid, illogical, and dysfunctional. Many links lead to deadpage or error pages without any meaningful explanation.
And when you call in to speak with customer service or tech support (if you can call it that), you would be take for a ride and in the end, you will realize you've wasted an hour or two on a bunch of incompetent idiots. The only thing they can do well at is to frustrate their 'customers' (more like victims). So, before you open an account with us bank, ask yourself if you would need lots of internet banking. If so, do yourself a favor: go elsewhere for your banking needs. Life is too short to get your blood pressure pumped up by a bunch of idiots at us bank internet banking service.
I have been a US Bank customer since it was called first bank and i lived in mn. I moved to ca and still was happy. I live in stockton and in the last 6 months have experienced the worst customer service in from any bank in the last 40 years. 3 months ago i had to threaten to close my accounts before they would they'll me, they stockton branch called and found out they could do what i was asking.
Yet again this week, i couldn't get them to take a deposit as i had the wrong account. They wouldn't look up the info, "we don't do that". I just closed on my refine with bank of america and i am also moving my accounts out. I can not believe the condescending attitude and lack of service in stockton.
US Bank has now multiple times removed charges from bank account then re applied them 3-4 weeks later. What i mean is i had a 100$ charge on my bank account from a purchase i made, my bank statement showed that the funds had been taken out. Then the next day when i checked my bank statement again the 100$ charge was gone. About 3 and a half weeks later the 100$ charge shows back up on my account and ends up putting me in the negatives causing me to have to pay overdraft fees.
This has happend way to many times now and the bank keeps dancing around the issue.
Do not go to this bank, they will scam your bank accounts and force overdraft fees on you.
