Everyone at US Bank has been very helpful and unfortunately there was no on at my branch to do home loan origination so they gave me the name of someone who should have been able to help me in albuquerque, his name is harvey [REDACTED]. When i called him he immediately wanted to know who gave me his number. I told him what i was trying to do and i would be going through the va since i had multiple tours in iraq and he said he would be down in las cruces in a few weeks and talk to him them and abruptly got off the phone.
I called him a week later and he acted like we never talked and he tried to get off the phone as soon as he could, i tried to remind mr. Important of the sacrifices i made but he hung up on me. I contancted another loan originator from us bank and explained my situation and received great service. As far as this secor guy, i have never met a more disrespectful person and would love to meet the coward face to face.
I was convinced by my car dealer to use them for my car loan. I tried signing in for online access to pay the monthly due. There was an error in the system. I have been calling them daily for the past 3 days and each day is a different story. On the third day, the representative said they need 3 more days to give me online access. All this trouble for me to pay money to them . When you call their 1800 number first it goes to a regular agent who asks 4 questions and then pass it on to an online banker who asks the same 4 questions. Then he has to call tech support and then they come back with there is an error in the system. 12 times the same four questions and no progress. I have seen comcast do such poor customer service but a bank... and this is for me to pay them. I wonder how they are if I need something from them. And if the service is so messed up to even set up an online account, I wonder how safe my information is with them.
I have banked with chase all along and I am thankful they are not a bunch of incompetant people like the tech support at US bank. Avoid this bank like the plague.
A few years ago, I opened a Checking account with US Bank specifically to have an emergency fund. In order to avoid monthly fees, I also opened up a Savings account and set up a direct deposit that would go back and forth from my Checking and Savings accounts, per instruction from the branch. I specifically set up the accounts so I would not incur fees and I could forget about them until I ever needed them. Everything was fine and dandy.
I went into the US Bank website for the first time today, and I see that I have been incurring a Monthly Maintenance Fee and Sales Tax on my Checking Account monthly, summing to $132.66 in fees. Upon calling the 800 number, I was informed that a policy change was made some time between when I opened the account and now. I was told that the fees are my fault, and there is nothing they could do about it.
Monthly fees and poor customer service is not what I signed up for, so I closed all of my US Bank accounts and have taken my business elsewhere. $132.66 is petty compared to what they gain from keeping me as a customer (pays on time, savings in the bank, etc). I am extremely disappointed in US Bank's lack of concern for the customer.
