My Banking Experience Has Been Wonderful - Very Caring Bankers And Customer Service Agents.

I am very satisfied with my us bank experience. The tellers at my current bank are very friendly and always in a great mood. The toll-free customer service is also great. The bankers over the phone are very helpful and happy to help with any of your questions. I highly recommend this banking service as i couldn't ask for a better banking company as a whole.

U.S. Bank Home Mortgage

U.S. Bank sent my loan payoff refund check to my ex-husband, and because they wrote the check incorrectly, he was able to cash it and keep the money. I have sent several letters to U.S. Bank, including the CEO, but they do not care. I realize they are not responsible for my dishonest ex-husband's behavior, but they are responsible for the incorrect way they wrote who the check was payable to and who they mailed it to. They sent me a letter back saying this is how their legal department decided to write the checks. So they do not care that they are ripping people off.

Poor Customer Care

A few years ago, I opened a Checking account with US Bank specifically to have an emergency fund. In order to avoid monthly fees, I also opened up a Savings account and set up a direct deposit that would go back and forth from my Checking and Savings accounts, per instruction from the branch. I specifically set up the accounts so I would not incur fees and I could forget about them until I ever needed them. Everything was fine and dandy.

I went into the US Bank website for the first time today, and I see that I have been incurring a Monthly Maintenance Fee and Sales Tax on my Checking Account monthly, summing to $132.66 in fees. Upon calling the 800 number, I was informed that a policy change was made some time between when I opened the account and now. I was told that the fees are my fault, and there is nothing they could do about it.

Monthly fees and poor customer service is not what I signed up for, so I closed all of my US Bank accounts and have taken my business elsewhere. $132.66 is petty compared to what they gain from keeping me as a customer (pays on time, savings in the bank, etc). I am extremely disappointed in US Bank's lack of concern for the customer.
