It was a Last Resort and a Horrible Choice

I have had nothing but stress from this bank since I opened the account. I cannot count the number of times I have heard the line, "I am so sorry for the inconvenience; but, we cannot ." If you value your sanity and desire a bank with accessibility as well as costumer service with genuine resolutions to your potential needs; go elsewhere.

New Philadelphia Branch, Ohio

I have been with Woodforest for 5 yrs now. They gave me second chance banking with a 5 dollar deposit. The manager Cindy is a wonderful person and will help with any problem with a smile! Their OD fees are only 29 dollars. Guarantee you will pay 2 fees for an overdraft at any other bank and they will charge at least 35 per OD! If you mess up you can take a checking tutorial and have one OD taken off. This bank is excellent and i wish they were at every Walmart but I got lucky because there are 2 near me.

Best Bank Ever!

It cracks me up when I hear people say that Woodforest "took their money". Well if you keep track of what you spend, don't write checks when you don't have the money in your account, don't give your account information online or to anyone else, you shouldn't have a problem. If you over spend...YES! you are going to get an OD fee! If you write a bad check...YES! you are going to get an NSF fee! Woodforest places items in pending until they are completed so customers can see what is being processed into their accounts and give them extra time to deposit money if needed before any fees may be accessed! That sounds like a good thing to me! And Woodforest doesn't even check credit! If you have the second chance checking account that is probably because you have had issues with other banks as well! So before you go blame Woodforest...maybe you should keep track of your money!!
