NYCB is currently offering an opportunity to earn up to $500 in cash when you sign up and use one of their VISA Check Cards.  The promotion is rolled up into NYCB’s Even>More Rewards Program and is available for personal checking accounts only.

If you are currently a NYCB personal checking account member with a VISA Check Card, then you are automatically enrolled into the program.

So how does is work?

• Each point earned is worth $0.01, but points can only be earned on purchases of over $20 for Debit Card and PIN Debit Card transactions.
• For every Debit Card transaction over $20 will earn you 25 Points or $0.25
• For every PIN Debit Card transaction over $20 will earn you 10 Points or $0.10
• A total of 50,000 points or $500 can be earned and will be paid out exactly 12 months into the next calendar year.
• No minimum month balance required and ATM transactions do not qualify.

The main problem with this promo is you only earn 25 points no matter if you spend $20 or $2,000 per transaction.  Therefore to make $500 you will need to spend $40,000.00 ((50,000/25)*$20).
