Now Banco Popular is trying to broaden their reach further by offering up to $125 for opening new checking accounts and adding features like free bill-pay. Besides getting some cash, Totally Free Checking at Banco Popular has some great benefits such as free online banking and bill pay, free return check images and monthly statements, as well as 2 free foreign ATM withdrawals and inquiries per month.
What’s more is that Banco Popular has also extended a similar reward for Free Business Checking (receive up to $100 for old debit and unused checks, plus a gift).
Here’s how the reward works:
- Get up to $25 for handing in your old debit card and any unused checks from your previous bank.
- Get $50 for adding direct deposit to your account.
- Get $50 for using free online bill pay.
- Open a new account and as a gift, Banco Popular will also give you a choice of travel bag or carry-on.
Here the Fine Print:
- $50 minimum deposit to open up an account ($25 for NY)
- The first ACH deposit of $1 must be made at least 60 days after opening the account in order to receive the $50 payment. Some accounts may qualify for an extended period of 106 days, but this is not guaranteed.
- Bill pay must be set up and used within the first 60 days of opening.
- Banco Popular may subsititute any other item of similar value for mentioned free gift.
- Offers may be withdrawn at any time.
