Citizens Bank really, really wants you as a new customer. They are even willing to pay you $220 to become one, but you’ll have to hurry; the offer is only available until November 13th. For consumers who are currently without a checking account or who are dissatisfied with their current bank, this might be a great time to take advantage of a bank like Citizens which is willing to pay you money to make the switch.
New Checking Customers
To qualify for the offer, all you need to do is choose from a list of checking accounts and compete each one of the following options, and you will receive the corresponding cash bonus. The options are:
- Set up direct deposit of $500 or more – $50 Cash
- Make 5 online bill payments – $25 Cash
- Make 5 debit or credit card purchases* – $25 Cash
- Enroll in Green$ense – $120 Cash
*Applies to signature-based purchases using your Citizens Bank Debit or Credit Card

The Fine Print
The offer is only available to new Citizens customers who have not had a personal Citizens account for 6 months or more. In order to take advantage of the offer, new customers must sign up for their account between October 1st and November 13th of 2009, and complete the requirements above by December 31st, 2009.
The checking account must also remain open for at least 6 months, or the bonuses will be deducted, so don’t apply if you’re just going to close it after you get the cash!
