KeyDirect No Longer Accepting New Account Members
KeyDirect, the online only bank division of KeyBank has placed a notice on their homepage that they are no longer accepting new account members as of October 3, 2009. If you are currently a member, you still have the ability to open new account within the online bank.
There homepage message went on to say:
“If you are an existing client, you may renew a KeyDirect CD or add new KeyDirect products by calling us directly at 1-800-872-5553 Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET.”
After speaking with a CSR, they notified us that KeyDirect is currently updating their online system. No time frame was given, but we will make sure to provide an update as soon as they begin excepting new deposits.
Note: KeyBank can open and service accounts in the following states: AK, CO, ID, IN, KY, ME, MI, NY, OH, OR, UT, VT, or WA.
