Chase is currently offering a limited time promotion which gives you a $100 bonus when you open a new Chase Checking account before 12/31/2009. To take advantage of this deal, you need to either set up direct deposit, or make five debit card purchases after opening the account. Once you have a completed one of these two options, Chase will credit the $100 bonus to your account within 10 business days.
In order to receive the bonus, you will have to open the account with a minimum deposit of $100, and must initiate direct deposit or complete five debit card purchases within 60 days.

The promotion is available only to new Chase Checking account holders, and the $100 opening minimum deposit must be new money not currently held by chase or any of its affiliates. In order to keep the bonus, your account must stay open for at least 6 months.
