Sovereign Bank Offers McAfee SiteAdvisor Plus 6-month Trial
Last week we announced that Bank of America was offering one free year of McAfee Internet Security for all of their Online Banking consumers (link to article). It is interesting to see a continuing trend by banks to show their costumers that they are willing to help them feel more safe during the transition to online banking. While not quite as long-term as BofA’s offer, Sovereign Bank has also formed a partnership with McAfee to offer consumers a 6-month free trial of McAfee SiteAdvisor. Usually the trial period is 1 month, so it is nice to see the extension, but overall savings from both bank offers isn’t very much. Currently, you can buy a 1-year subscription to SiteAdvisor for $14.99.
What distinguishes this offer from BofA’s is that it seems that the offer can be leveraged by anyone; not just Sovereign Bank members. If this product interests you, here is the promotional link.
