BankSimple Teases at FinovateFall 2011

It’s been almost a year since we first mentioned bank start-up BankSimple, and although the company has not yet made it’s debut, the MyBankTracker.com team was able to get a sneak peak at FinovateFall 2011.

Okay, so we can tell you that BankSimple is making progress because we have seen the actual program and it’s pretty slick. With a clean and simple design, this alternative to banking is sure to draw in a lot of frustrated banking customers.

A Sneak Preview of BankSimple

For those of you haven’t read our article on BankSimple, it is basically a banking service without the bank. The online company will focus on providing transparent, innovative service with no hidden fees.

Many early adapters have been eagerly awaiting this online banking service for the past year, and for a lucky few the wait will come to an end in the next couple of weeks. BankSimple will be shipping out cards to their first customer in a week or so, if you absolutely cannot wait, sign up for a beta account now.

At first glance, you’ll notice its uncluttered and simple account interface with plenty of white space. BankSimple lets customers use a search function to find particular transactions on their accounts.

Goal-setting is also an effortless feature that only requires the customer to dictate the specific allocations for their funds and BankSimple will take care of the rest. Goals can be paused, locked, or accelerated with just a few clicks.

BankSimple also offered a glimpse of its mobile app, which it promises to be a “first class experience” as the mobile interface was developed prior to its desktop user experience.

The Public ‘Giddy’ with Anticipation

We must stay, BankSimple has caused quite the buzz here at FinovateFall 2011. With the launch just weeks away seeing a taste of the program was both exciting and frustrating. Judging by tweets and conference chatter people are ready to finally test this product out.

BankSimple has covered it’s bases judging from the demo. Their site is oriented on providing a user-friendly experiences that organize transactions in an easy-to-find and aesthetic manner.

The FDIC insured accounts can assure asset-protection. Because BankSimple is being launched during the digital era, it is without a doubt they will be at the forefront of technology and innovation in the financial industry.

Yes, while I love clean interfaces and natural language search, I still don’t really understand what BankSimple actually does.
What access to my money to I agree to?
It’s a long way from dissatisfaction with banks to trusting a non-bank.

I can understand the trepidation of holding your money with a non-bank but luckily BankSimple partners with FDIC insured banks so that your money is protected no matter what happens.

BankSimple designs the interface, features, and services that offers a better banking experience – without having to deal with actually becoming a true bank.
