For the most part, bank CD rates went down last week, although some banks did up their rates by a few percentage points. On the whole however, CD rates have continued their steady decline as has been the trend for the past weeks.

For individuals who want to get high interest yields on smaller amounts, credit unions such as Patelco are the way to go. There are not much information available online about this offer but it appears that most of the credit union’s other offers are average.
