As an addition to its already great 12 month CD rate, ING Direct is offering a new bonus rate of 2.25% APY for customers who fund their CD from an external source.

With the end of the year in sight, hopes are high that the economy has bottomed out and there's nowhere to go but up.

Two major online banks, Ally and ING Direct, have pushed up the rates today on their fixed rate, 12-month CDs, putting them near the top of the list for high yielding CDs.

Today, ING Direct made a few adjustments to their 6 and 12 Month CD rates.
