Poor Customer Service and Outdated Compared to Other Banks

Fees everywhere. Not competitive products offered online compared to Chase or Citibank (scanning checks, online banking, etc). Terrible customer service - kept trying to update my new address and they never got it right. Kept sending invoices to wrong address. Then out of the blue cancelled my account all together because the invoices came back returned. Thanks BBT. You are a quality organization. Not really sure how you're in business.

Worse Customer and Business Services Ever

3.5 years ago I purchased a business and received an collateralized acquisition loan which has been paid down almost half. We approached them to rework the loan for cap ex purposes as they were over collaterized to the point of 220% to loan value, their requirement was 75% to loan value. Over half of the collateral was cash and the rest in stock, cd's and equipment. They refused to release any of the collateral and it became contentious between their representatives and my Company. Note: Over the 3.5 years I have owned the Company, we have never missed a payment, they have had continual turnover with representatives in their Business/Commercial Loan Department, they had never visited my Company in 3 years. In addition, we had our business checking with them until we figured out they take their debit first and then credit your account the next day with your deposits which is predatory, I went to another bank this week moved the balance of this loan to them and BB&T still refused to release the collateral until the payoff has posted. This bank could care less about small business, could care less about building relationships with their customers, could care less whether you go to another bank or if they lose customers, I could go on as to why you should not consider BB&T for business/commercial or even individual services, this is why BIG banks get a bad name. I feel sorry for their non-commercial customers as you are probably unaware of their predatory deposit policy which could result in huge fees as your deposit doesn't post the day you put it in, if you write checks and they come through the bank the same night your checks bounce, you get the nsf fees not to mention the order in which they pay the nsf checks. Back to business services, if you do go to them, don't expect them to work with you down the road, they are not there for you or to work with you in any manner whatsoever, they are unreasonable and inflexible. Proceed at your own risk.

BBT Estero Grand Oak Shoppes Branch a Very Friendly Bank

The staff of this bank is very diligent making me feel like a trusted and welcomed friend. Any difficulty I have experienced regarding fees has always been resolved to my satisfaction. Their specialized customer services, notary, etc. add to the value of my doing business with them.

This is the worst bank to have home loan with !!

I had to short sale my house in 2009 and BB&T had my loan. We came to the point that my both lenders agreed to on short sale (this process took around 1 year). at the end BB&T got more than 95% of their initial loan. know, after more than 4 years when I got my credit report, they reported that as foreclosures.

Shame on you BB& THIEF

The worst

I had $250 in the bank. Took $200 out of the atm and walgreens took out $20. Geico decided to take out there money to. They charged me $70 overdraft for the $200 and walgreens which if i was in the neg I shouldnt been able to withdraw the $200. Then they charged me $70 overdraft fee for the Geico. This bank is hungry for fees. So beware of them. I understand the Overdraft fee for the Geico but not the others. The first two was taken out on Friday, which should of been taken out of the money that was in there. The Geico on Monday which should of been overdraft. Also beware of them taking there time to take the money out, which makes you think there is money still in the account and is easier to overdraft. I switched to a credit union and the money is out when I spend it. My paycheck is in a day before it was when it went into BBT.

How to vandalize your accounts

I have 2 accounts with this bank. On March 4th 2013 I paid in 2 checks into one of these accounts totaling over $10K. I also drew $2000 and deposited into my other account. Result ------

I had $360 in overdraft and and returned check charges debited

to my account over the next 4 days. I have managed to get $180 back but despite phone calls and discussion with the Manager I am still out of pocket for the other half. When I deposited the checks the teller should have explained to me that it would be better for me to withhold drawing against them for a day or two as otherwise I would be charged instant fees. This was not done and Now it is a big fight to get my money back. Next step===== small claims court

This Bank hides behind its computers and has poor management and customer service skills

Worst business account bank ever online or local branch

Okay, I opened a business account online in November, sent all the required documents within a week. They were supposed to send me a welcome package with more information and my debit cards as soon as deposit cleared. The deposit cleared within a week. waited and waited and finely had to call them to find out where my debit cards were. They said they didn't receive the information but they got the deposit in the same letter. hum so if I would have called they would of just let it go.. Also no deposit slips were sent as well. This should of turned on my red light. So then I had to go into a local branch and fill the paperwork out again. Went in and the girl there had no customer service. No sorry sir nothing. So I finished there and 2 weeks later cards came in. I only used the account once sine, so I had forgot my user and password. I just got done chasing my tail for and hour to get my password reset. First they need account number or ein, once I found all that then they needed to know the most recent purchase date and amount just to reset my online password. I'm sorry but that is ridiculous just to reset my password. I have 3 security questions on the account and they didn't use any of them. They wanted information that was in my online account which I couldn't access. LOL. Glad I opened a "ONLINE ACCOUNT" LOL Needless to say I will be going in on Monday to close the account.

Bb&t Robs Working Single Moms!!

Hi. I've had an account with bb&t for 3 years. I financed two cars with them and have checking and savings accounts. Until next monday, that is. I plan to go directly to the bank and close both my checking and savings.. One of my car loans was cosigned for my daughter, kristin. She is the sole support of her family right now, as her husband has not worked very much at all in the last two years.. I think she makes $9 an hour!. So neither of us are rich. She has a two year old son. So, sometimes, she gets behind in her car payment, her rent, her power bill, her water bill, understandably!. She just made a payment on the car loan yesterday!. Today i get a letter in the mail, telling me that although she was only behind $600, they have drained my checking account of the $2790 that was in it, leaving my balance at zero!. Nothing left to pay my bills, that are due in one day with, nothing to put gas in my car for the next week, nothing to buy groceries with... There is nothing in my account. But the multi-zillionaire company has their money. What i cannot understand is why they didn't take what was behind, the $600, instead of draining the account and making it personal. The answer is they have a loophole in the fine print of the paper i signed when i opened a checking account and trusted them with my money!! Don't put your money in these big banks!! They are in business to take advantage of working single moms!! They don't care about the average working american. They are thieves and should rot in jail. Thank you very much for letting me rave. At least i have internet for the remainder of the month!!.

They post Checks before Deposits causing Overdrafts

They processed a check , then a cash deposit but the overdraft fee CAUSED the overdraft. And in what world is that right?
