“Customer service has deteriorated substantially at the Arboretum Branch in Austin along with incompetent management.”
I recently tried to open a business account there and the management knew less than the tellers about the requirements. It took me several trips back and forth to the bank just to open the account and even now when I ask questons about banking rules, no one seems to know the answers and they have to call the main branch so you waste an hour there.

“Worst Banking Experience EVER”
I applied for a mortgage modification. It took more than 18 months to be processed. It was approved effective Nov. 2011. It has still NOT been completed even though it was effective 17 months ago. I have been in this process with them for nearly THREE years and it still isn't completed. Customer service has been terrible. They have requested the same information from me OVER AND OVER. Information coming from them has been incorrect many times. They have changed my Account Manager more than 6 times in 6 months so no one knows what is going on. I despise them and their unethical and unprofessional business practices. If I could get rid of my mortgage or change it to anyone else, I would do it immediately. Working with BOA has been my worst experience with ANY company in my entire life.

“Bank of America are Financial Terroroists”
Bank of America is the worst bank in america. They have a modification program that's a scam. They still rearrange transactions if your account is overdrawn to maximize their fee's.

“$35 fee for 10 cent overdraft”
My account was overdrawn by 10 cents. Bank of America charged me $35. Two customer service supervisors gave conflicting reasons for the charge. My account was in overdraft for $35.10.

“less than entertaining”
Bank of America is practicing what they call the "Drop Off" which means that when you make a transaction that shows pending one day all of a sudden disappears a few days later giving you the false impression it had cleared and your reflecting balance is accurate when in fact it had not cleared and your balance is not accurate as the transaction was added back to your balance ( no record reflects this) yet hidden and left pending in BOA land. So without warning like magic it reappears on your statement deducting a second time from your balance which you thought was accurate after you made several transactions and transfers since the prior causing your balance to trigger an overdraft as it plummets below the previously thought accurate balance. Fortunately for me I was able to correct the balance by transferring funds in time to avoid any overdraft fees but still recieved the overdraft notice because of course it was my fault. which I am sure is why they practice the "Drop Off" maneuver so as to bleed the little guy dry. I tried to exsplain to BOA that there practice is faulty wrong and missleading as account balances can not be trusted. So unless you keep a written seperate log of your debit transactions fees are likely to follow. Of course they can not help if the merchant does not respond to the pending trans action in time so they simply must drop it off the acct until they do and around and around we go in this circular un ending diatribe. Of course these rules of theirs are well thought out by some one in a higher pay grade other than whom you are speaking with so it is fuetile to blame the parot. This has occured twice to me thus far so watch out for the "Drop Off" manuever and unless your from the planet BOA dont exspect them to understand your logic.

“A-Holes now charge overdraft fees on savings accounts!!”
I've been banking with BofA for about 7 years or so and I have dealt with their shady practices, they have gone beyond reproach; they NOW charge OVERDRAFT FEES FOR A SAVINGS ACCOUNT, beware, you have been warned.
When I called the rep about this she tried to play it off by circumventing my actual question by saying "well there are some things that can cause overdraft fees to occur..yada yada yada" I told her, that I know that, but that this was new to SAVINGS ACCOUNT. I knew the BS lines so I just hung up. If you "transfer" beware that you may be charged an overdraft fee if your savings account is overdrawn by one cent.

“WORST BANK EXPERIENCE IN 30+ YEARS”
ME:
Proud owner of an excellent credit history for over 30 years. I'm a BofA credit card holder who has never once been late with a payment to any creditor in over 30 years. (I pay my obligations)
CIRCUMSTANCES:
Poor returns from my business combined with my wife's ongoing chemotherapy and medical bills have caused a bind in our normal routine and have hampered our ability pay these obligations. HOWEVER WE STILL HAVE NOT BEEN LATE WITH ONE PAYMENT.
EXCELLENT CREDIT CARD COMPANIES:
Many credit card companies acknowledge what it means to do business with someone who pays their bills. Below is a list of my other CC's These companies have not raised our rates just because they can or because we have only payed the minimum due for the past 3 years.
Citi Bank rate 1.99% (fixed)
GM Card rate: 9.49%
Chase rate: 10.24%
Capital One 11.74%
American Express Optima 12.99%
Desert Schools 14.99%
MY PROBLEM WITH BofA:
Even after receiving my payments on time for years and being aware of our dire financial circumstances BofA has raised our rate to 27.99% (Just because they can)
Bank of "America" rate: 27.99%........note: America
CONCLUSION:
Who would you rather do business with?

“self-serving bad banking advice from BA”
A banker on the phone at BA told me to use their credit card, which has the highest APR of any I carry, "in order to get a better rate."
I recently noticed they were high in comparison, and called to see about getting a better APR. They told me I was wonderful, and a candidate for a reduction, and, to their credit, they did drop some. But they didn't come near my other APRs.
They said they couldn't because I was paying down my balance and not charging anything. I told them I was charging, but on cards with lower rates. They said if I began charging on their card--at the higher rate--"maybe" something could be done at some unspecified future date.
What kind of financial advice is "Use the card with the highest APR?"
Bankers don't know marketing. You want more people charging? Put out a competitive rate and people will use it. It doesn't work the other way 'round, BA!
So I'm in the market for a balance transfer deal. These guys need to be "slammed" and then they won't get any interest at all.

“Worst banking experience!!!”
They misspelled my last name on my mortgage, wrong middle name, wrong mailing address. Ask them to change it probably 10 times, they never could. They said to fax a divorce decree to get my ex-wifes name off of the loan, because I'm not working and cannot re-fi. I faxed it and called them a couple days later. They said it had been sent to another company 5 days before they told me to fax it and they could not help anymore. Leading up to that they told me to re-finance was the only way, that was year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Year 6 they told me that I could send a bunch of paperwork in and pay from 400 to 800 to get it done. Then year 7 she says fax me a paper and then when i call she says sorry you wasted your time and money again. If you get a loan through them after reading this, YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE!!!
