Horrible

1. The online optimizer is a night mare.

2. People at the branch have no clue regardless of what you ask them and send you in the wrong direction all the time.

3 FEEEEES - incredible $30 for wires out 15 for wires in, plus maintenance fees per check fees(!!!).

Hsbc gave me 5 wires free, no charge for checks(!) citi bank is much cheaper

Got online banking with citi - only now I understand what a dinosaur Capital one is!!!

Three Stooges of Online Banking

To summarize, this bank is run by IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I was an ING customer for years. I never had a problem with them ever. I was very happy......but then Capital One decided to buy them out and hand the business over to the three stooges.

Okay, so the main page changed a little. Online bill pay seemed to work like it always has. I got a new credit card in the mail with their name on it and yet my ING card still had another two years to go. The site kept pestering me about activating their card, so I did. A week later, I went to use that card, DECLINED. I pulled out my old ING card and that was declined as well. The lady behind the counter is looking at me like I'm some sort of criminal. Luckily I had another credit card from a different bank. I went home and called Capital One and told them my problem. They put me on hold at least 10 minutes and told me some non-sense about the card being compromised. Then they told me they can re-activate the card I have. I asked when it will be usable and she told me around 4:30 that day. The next day I used the card to get gas, DECLINED. Now I'm pissed! I emailed the bank because I would have lost it talking to them. Now they claim the card has to be replaced. They send me another, I go to activate it and it states the number on the card is wrong. I tried several times until it said the maximum number of tries has been exceeded, please contact the bank. Well, I'm done with them. Now I'm looking for another bank.

Stay away from this bank, they will waste your time and piss you off so much!

Signed up for $75 worth of Bonus Cash!! & Signed up for my teen son

I used this link https://home.capitalone360.com/referafriend?save=ZP2dn5yo1F that I found in a post below and signed up for 3 accounts that should equal $75 in bonus cash. My reviews are as follows. I have had these accounts for several weeks and am very happy with them

1.) Money Debit Account for Teens: This is the main account I signed up for.. This account is eligible for $25 bonus. I signed up for this account for my son who recently started working at a restaurant that offered direct deposit. His employer is able to use this account for that. Both myself and my son have our own DIFFERENT log in credentials for this account. That feature makes this account worth $1,000,000!

2.) Checking Account: I signed up for a checking account for myself. This I am using this account as my "fun" money. The money i deposit in this account is being used to fund family outings like movies, and vacations. Having an account just for that is a great help with my budget. When I transfer money to the account it is usually available in 2 - 3 days. If I use their check deposit feature it is available next day.

3.) Savings: I mainly signed up for this account because of the easy bonus. I haven't really used it for anything but earning the bonus. I plan on using it to save for my vacation next year.

Customer Service: I have never contacted. Cannot comment on CS

Overall this is a great bank. It is not a replacement for my hometown bank and I would never replace them. I don't know how long I will keep these accounts but until I find a better option for my son I will have this account for a while.

The way online banking should be

This is an online bank. A lot of features from your hometown bank will be missing and deposits may take a day or two to post. Thats how all online banks seem to work. Capital one 360 seems to be the best of them all.. I was never an ING customer but from the post below, it looks like the bank has changed with the buyout. But never being an ING customer I have noticed no changes.

These accounts are great. I have a checking and a teen savings account. My teen can have his check from work sent to his account and both him and I have access to the account. I love being able to see him learn how to manage his finances.

Totally Awful Customer Service!!!!

I have been a satisfied customer of ing direct for over 15 years, having a savings account, checking accounts, and a sharebuilder investment account. When i opened my last checking account about 15 months ago, i was suddenly no longer receiving my monthly statements in the mail. After numerous phone calls and rude, evasive responses, i was finally told that by opening the checking account i had automatically agreed to stop receiving monthly statements by mail. I later discovered that this fact is deceitfully buried at the end of the "fine print" in the electronic disclosure agreement. So, for the last twelve months, i have been trying to reinstate my paper statement, only to receive one excuse after another for the past year! I have since sent certified letters of request, closed my checking accounts, closed my sharebuilder account, transferred 98% of the funds from my savings account, and still no paper statements. My last resort now is to file a complaint with the banking commission. I don't think it's too much to ask to receive a monthly statement from the banking institution that is using my money. Please don't get sucked in by their scam marketing tactics of offering a rebate to open an account. When i asked capital one 360 to send my past statements that had not been received due to their incompetence, i was told they would be happy to send them for $5. 00 per statement! Not a bank that i'm happy doing business with anymore. Beware, and consider yourself warned.

Great Bank Bonus Deposited Already

I signed up for this account after seeing the review by bob2000 below and used the link he posted. I signed up for both a checking and savings account.

The savings account I put in the min deposit of $250 (So I would receive a bonus) and I was paid the $25 bonus a few days later.

For the checking account, as soon as I received my card, I made 3 small soda purchases. This account doesnt requir a min deposit for the bonus so I only sent $5.00. After the 3 soda purchases I received an email a day or so later saying my bonus would be sent to my account on such and such date. That date has yet to pass BUT I have no doubt the bonus will be sent to my account.

I did contact CS to ask a question or two (Mainly if I could cancel the account after the bonus) and I was told I could. They where very helpful and friendly!! Enough so, that I am actually considering to keep my account.

I was approved for an overdraft limit of $250. I read on here that someone only had $25 limit so I guess this depends on your credit or maybe it was because I opened savings. Myabe it is just random! When I contacted CS I asked if they did a credit check and they said yes but only a soft check so maybe thats why I had a higher limit.

Try the link below from bob2000 because a bargain hunter like me earned $75 in a cash bonus and it was the easiest money I have ever made! HAHA.

The Gold Standard For Online Banking & I Have Been With All Of Them.

I have been with capital one & now capital one 360 for years now. I have previously had charles schwab checking (stop trying to sell me brokerage services, vanguard smokes you! ), emigrant direct (rates too low vs competition), perkstreet financials (poor customer service & even shipped my cards & checks to the wrong address, the cashback not worth the stupidity! ), ally financial (the biggest joke in online banking), american express (great place for savings & service), etc. I have found capital one's customer service, rates & overall offerings to be top-notch, tier one. They may not always be the absolute highest but they are among the best & their customer service & websites are fantastic. I just adore capital one online banking & really love my new capital one 360 account too. Excellent.

Not perfect but still a great bank

Great Bank. Very fast on posting transactions and customer service is fine. I have had no complaints from the switch from ING to Capital One. I feel some of the complaints are from upset customers because their little bank was purchased by a big bank.

Their accounts are easy and fast to open. Money is avaliable a few days after transfer (it does take a day or so but all banks are like this). No problems what so ever.

Is this a perfect bank? The answer is no.. Is it a bank with low fees, good customer service, and a great overall experiance? The answer is yes. I would recommend opening an account and trying them for your self

Dreadful

Pretty much the same as everyone else: was an ING banker before they got bought out by capitol one. Tried to add an external account to link with my wife and it was a nightmare. After several calls I finally asked to speak to a supervisor. NOT ONLY was he not helpful but flat out rude. After speaking to him I decided to cancel my account. I only wish I could rate them a zero for customer service!

Great Bank! Currently Offering Cash Bonus! (Up To $100) Customer Support is amazing. Kid Friendly

First, a lot of the reviews below DOG capital one 360. Im sure they are just from a small fraction of unhappy customers. This bank is actually very very great! Check them out at (For a bonus) (This link offers more promotions than their regular site)

https://home.capitalone360.com/referafriend?save=ZP2dn5yo1F

They have several types of accounts you can open. These accounts range from checking, savings, and even accounts for your kids and teens!!!

Checking: Their checking accounts are top notch. NO FEES! and they even give you a credit line for overdrafts. This line starts at usually on $25 but still better than nothing! I have dipped down into this line a few times and experienced no problems. The only downside to their checking is the $5.00 fee to order checks!

Savings: Online savings is the way to go. They pay a lot more than brick and mortar banks and charge no fees if your savings is empty or running low.

Kids and Teen Accounts: This is one area that capital one 360 really shines.. Their accounts for kids and teens give the parents 100 % control over the account while also teaching the young ones how to manage money. Your kids will even have their own login information. They can have their employer send their checks to this account. You, as the parent, can also send your kids money. This is great if they are on trips!

Overall: This is a great no fees bank. High APR savings, great accounts for the teens, and no min deposits make Capital One 360 shine. I would recommend anyone looking into online banking to check them out.

If you follow this link they even offer more promotions than on their current site (Current site doesn't offer savings promos)

Very unpleasant

I had my account closed after 1 month. The provided me a credit line for situations where I went negative. Cool. But when I went into that credit line, they froze my account. When I spoke to them, they said I didn't do anything wrong, because I had the credit line there for that purpose. (??!?? so why!?). My paycheck got deposited a couple days after, and back to positive balance, and I wrote a check that bounced. They charged me a fee, but said that was enough to close my account. They didn't tell me the account was going to be closed until after my check got deposited, which pisses me off. Now I have to wait for a check in the mail so I can pay my bills, it's the 2nd of the month. Had they told me it would be closed, I would have gotten a paper check and cashed it to take care of my bills, not wait for my check from them. Stupid customer support.
