“Who needs money? Apparently Chase doesn't think I do...”
I had the accelerated payment program with WAMU since 2002 and everything had run smoothly until I tried to cancel and set up account for 1 monthly payment with CHASE. .
Iâve had this mortgage since 2002 and never been late, in the contrary Iâve been ahead w/the accelerated program.
I went to branch and had AP account cancelled. Customer Rep made all the calls for me and had the account cancelled. Apparently AP account was never cancelled, which is fine. I know people make mistakes BUT since we had cancelled the AP account CHASE automatically started making unauthorized mortgage withdrawals from my checking account. Yes, 2 payments per month (1 from AP account and one from CHASE bank) and my husband lost his job⦠wow, I must be super woman I can do 2 payments per month?!? No, actually my account is in the RED and I keep getting hit with the NSF fees. But according to the branch manager the mortgage transaction did not cause me to go in the RED, it was the checks I wrote the day after the unauthorized payment was withdrawn⦠youâve got to be kidding me??? Stupid me, I should have known CHASE was going to withdraw 2 UNAUTHORIZED mortgage payments from my account!
Oh, and they said it would take 3 days to look in to the issue⦠That was Monday, today is Friday evening and Iâve had no answers. They must think people donât need their money and work for sun. No, I donât need to pump gas to make it to work; No, I donât need to buy groceries; No, I donât need to buy my medication. Who needs money???
I do have to say, the counter people at the Mission Viejo Branch have been trying to help and have been the ones to make all the calls for me. Before I went to them w/my issues I went to the Foothill Ranch Location and the were âVERY HELPFULâ⦠they sat me on a table and dialed the 800 number for me and had me hold for over 20 minutes because they donât have access to th
