How do they even have customers???

During Hurricane Issac my payment did not arrive on time because of the disruption due to weather. After One day late I was sent to Collections, my Credit Limit was frozen and was hounded with 13 calls from them demanding the payment. All this while I was evacuated and in a hotel. Every person I spoke had the same response

Very Bad!!

I was in the middle of moving and did not get my bill on time. I had never paid late before. I tried to get online and pay but their website would not let me on even though I had the correct information. I called and even though I was only a day late and only owed 13.00 they are charging me 25.00 in late fees. I cancelled my card. They would rather lose good customers than wave a late fee. Do not deal with these people.

This Bank Gives Loan Sharks a Bad Name!

Have been paying on balance transfer with lifetime rate of 1.99% for awhile. About a year ago a $1.75 minimum interest payment was substituted for my monthly interest charge, which should have been about $1.00 or so. When I finally got tired of this gouging I contacted the bank via letter and was given a canned spiel about the minimum fee being allowed under my amended agreement. When challenged about the lifetime interest rate being ignored they countered that it was because I had a revolving balance.

The only revolving balance on my account is an unknown charge for approximately ONE DOLLAR which has not been paid off even though I regularly pay 7.5 times the minimum payment ($75 on $10 minimum), which appears to be in violation of the CARD ACT requirements. When I reminded them of this they just sent me the same canned crap and claimed that they can apply the overpayment to any balances that they choose, which in this case means they will keep the ONE DOLLAR on the revolving account so that they can keep charging me at least twice the amount of interest that I actually owe them.

Run, don't walk, from these greedy bastards!

Horrible. It is the worst bank ever. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen.

First National Bank of Omaha is the worst bank ever. They have absolutely horrible customer service. We have been customers for over 5 years, then one day for no apparent reason they cut the credit limit on our credit cards down to the current balance, raise the interest rates and raise the minimum payment. When we tried to talk to them about it, it was impossible to get our questions answered. We have a great credit score (just over 800) and can't understand why this happened.

Worst Bank I've Ever Worked With !!!!!

I had a first national bank american express card and had a perfect payment history. I aquired another credit card and bought a new car and without even giving me notice they cancelled my account. There is no collections on my credit and no late payments on any of my accounts. Talk about loyality and being left high and dry on a vacation. I was warned by other people not to use them and i am now warning you that this bank is bad news!!! Bad customer service!!!! And they see no-one as a loyal customer

Horrible with mortgage loans

I personally recommend anyone but First National Bank for your mortgage loan. I had the worst experience. A friend recommended them, which he apologized for later, and so I went in to get things started. I was told, "If anyone can get you done, we can." We got everything going and after a week and a half, I followed up to see how things were going. I was told, "Everything looks good. We should close this week." And nothing. I waited another week and called back to see how things were going and was told, "I had my underwriter look at it and she said everything looks good, we should close by the end of the week." And...nothing. This goes on for a month. I call again and she tells me, "Well we may need a co-signer, my underwriter is going to look at it." Ummm I thought she already did, at least three times before. But as anyone would guess, may need means you do need. So I go to Wells Fargo. They had me approved in a week. :) A month later I get a bill from First National saying I owe them $400.00 for an appraisal. So I call my loan officer and ask him about it. He asks me why would they do an appraisal before they had you approved? So I go to pay the bill (because it will apparently go to collections if I don't and you can't have that if your closing on a home) and ask why. They told me, "We never approve a construction loan without an appraisal." Makes sense, but why not get everything "looking good" first so all you have left to finalize a loan is the appraisal? That makes more sense, right? All in all, it was a horrible experience, I felt like no one knew what they were doing and it wasted a month and a half of building time and $400.00 for an unnecessary appraisal. Please stay away from First National Bank. It's a waste of your time and money.

Be warned, worst financial institution ever

Low introductory credit rates, pay on time, never late, your reward, 30% interest rate without warning or negotiation, just like that. worst customer service I have ever encountered. Just a big headache. Do not deal with these people.

These SOB's Suck!

I have been an on time paying customer for years. All of a sudden they jacked my rate up to 28 percent with no explanation other than some B.S. about my pattern of spending. I guess my pattern of payment doesn't count with these push button Neanderthals. Needles to say I paid my account off and told them to stick their card where the moon doesn't shine. Why is it when the corporations get into financial trouble they start biting the hands that feed their greedy arses? Fist National of Omaha can kiss my rosy red backside. They suck.
