Worse Credit Card Ever

They are the worse you could possibly choose. And the Customer Service doesn't seem to care. They just take what money they can and run. They don't even merit me telling you the story! Be afraid, be very afraid.

The F***ing Worst

I applied for a Mortgage loan modification and faxed in the required paperwork. A week later they said they only received half the paper work.. so i faxed the rest of the paper work. I called 3 days later and they said they haven't received the paperwork (mind you ,this is sent to the same fax number ).

So faxed the exact same paperwork again to the exact same fax number. i called a week later to see if they received everything. They told me to call back in 3 days since the system was being updated. 3 days later i called and they told me my request for a loan modification was denied 2 DAYS AGO, do to the fact that i didn't turn in the required paperwork.

I was told i could appeal it ,but i would have to fax all the paperwork to the original fax number that dos'nt seem to receive documents.

What a Scam!!!

Horrble. No Customer Service At All!

Allll hsbc branches are slow. It seems they are all stupid. Lines are at least a 30 minute wait. I have mortgage, cd, savings, checkings with them. Website sucks. Very inconvenient to pay bills, the way their format is. They dont allow you to make partial mortgage bills. I tried to pay some early and the other half later, but they dont allow you. Then i paid my mortgage, and the money sat there and then they say oh i didnt pay and chrage me fee. All the representatives on the phones give diff answers. No one seems to know what the hell they are doing. I have so so much to complain and say about them. So glad to rid my accounts with them. Too bad i have to keep my mortgage with them.... Never in my life have i seen a worst company. I thought conedison was bad... But they are just as bad.

Run, screaming. Total fools and morons.

My wallet was stolen overseas. Several hours on the phone with their third world call center netted me 0 dollars. I was on my own. Customer service is dishonest, misleading, and totally incompetent. Went to my neighborhood bank to replace them, and they said they could have wired me money with one phone call.

I'm outta here.

HSBC Staff

and that's the reason why I left the company a month ago! I couldn't agree more!

I pretty much feel the same way...! the best place to work as they'd say is nothing but merely stupid and beyond abysmal!

I wouldn't recommend this bank at all!

Poor customer service and illegitimate fee practices

I am a premier customer with HSBC, their highest level of customer banking level but the bank fails to provide satisfactory customer service to their Premier clients so one can be assured that regular clients get NO service.

I recently started a loan application with them and the whole experience frustrating, confusing and poor. First the bank failed to lock in my rate at a lower rate. Then failed to provide me with loan comittment letter for another 4 weeks. Although they delayed the process by a month, they charged me to extend the rate. Their mortgage specialists don't return calls and the primier relationship manager just transfers you from one call to another and never follows up with any solutions. Save the frustrations and go to some other bank like TD bank who will value you as a customer.

Horrible! Security and Confidentiality is not important to them.

I have been with HSBC for 2years now. Then Last December my Credit card has been rejected repeatedly only to find out after i call there office that there was a lost card report. That i didnt report for. Then They keep on updating me on the balance though i did not recive any bank statement and the new card that they have been talking about. Then untill now February 15, they have issued me the car nor the bank statement and all they do is call me and inform me to pay but all i keep on saying to them that they should give me reasons or explanation why my card has been reported lost since i didnt give them a call for a lost card.. all they keep on telling me is they will investigate. they almost everyday they call and i keep on telling them the same story and it will be investigated. Some of my friends told me that it is there way to quota on there sales by reporting tht customers card as lost so that they can provide a card with a new account number.

Following 5 years with HSBC I have experienced nothing but very poor customer service.

Having been a banking customer with HSBC for the past 5 years I have experienced nothing but very poor customer service.

To begin with their customer service staff members seem to be inadequately trained. This poses a real issue as their main customer service method is via telephone as they have limited US banking locations. Though the bank claims to be a â??premierâ?? international institution their customer service agents follow a very generic second-tier bank process. The interactions I have experienced are always unpleasant. The agents I have dealt with seem rushed, annoyed or bothered to deal with my questions or concerns. They rarely listen to any direction I provide and appear to read from a SOP or script. Consequently, their responses are vague, general and unhelpful.

Though the agents at the physical banks tend to be pleasant they are not all to helpful when it comes to reviewing you individual account details and often need to call into their own customer service hotline to investigate issues.

I have banked, or currently bank with, Charles Schwab, Bank of America, Wachovia, Barclays and Sun Trust all of which have offered superior service. I would rank Schwab and Barclays at the very top of customer service and suggest that if anyone is considering HSBC they first review the products these banks offer and know that their customer service is light years beyond the competitor HSBC. Both banks operate under a similar model as HSBC (limited locations and many online product offerings) yet fare much better in comparison.

As with all things great service is a sign of a quality firm and speaks volumes of the level of security one feels afforded; and for you money that is paramount. Thus why I eventually withdrew and closed my account, moving on to a new agent.

HSBC - from love to hate.

I was an HSBC customer for years but after their customer service deteriorated, I left.

My father, (works in the UK and HSBC Premier customer), set up an accounts in the US and UK. To help him pay bills while he was out of the country, I was added to the US account. Although I had been a Wells Fargo customer for 10+ years, I was so impressed with their customer service I decided to become a premier customer as well.

I enjoyed their customer service and since I had rental properties, I appreciated how easy it was to open basic checking accounts online and wire money through online banking. In total I had 3 premier accounts, 4 regular, and 1 premier credit card.

Recently, I've had issue after issue. On one occasion I received an email from a premier manager asking that my father and I submit new copies of our IDs for security. I submitted mine immediately, my father did so shortly after that when he returned from a trip. The manager failed to advise us that there was a deadline. Since my dad submitted his documents the day after the deadline, all his account (even ones where I'm a joint holder) were closed and statements were no longer accessible online.

I then tried to add an additional account holder onto my accounts. I was provided a form which I completed and submitted no less than three times. Nothing was done.

I submitted a request to open a new account. After a week I inquired and they couldn't find it.

I then submitted another joint application to open another premier account (both existing premier members). After a month, nothing other than "we are still processing this request" from customer service. 4 emails to my premier manager were not answered (and he was in the office).

As for "world's local bank", I went into a UK branch. They wouldn't let me withdraw cash until my local branch in the US opened and they wouldn't accept my HSBC US card in the UK at HSBC UK because it didn't have a chip in it!

Sorry HSBC, I can't take it anymore!

Very Disappointing!

I became a customer of hsbc in 2006 as a premier client! They issued me a premier master card. I used it for 6 years and kept it in good standing. I took my cash out of the bank in 2008 0r 2009 but still kept using the premier credit card since it had a large limit and i didn't have to carry several different cards with me.. Last august, without a proper warning, they downgraded my credit card account to a lesser credit card with less limit while i was still traveling overseas. I was heart broken that they would do that to me without a proper warning after so many years of business. Since i was overseas, it was a lot more disappointing. My card got declined in the middle of nowhere and i did not have other cards on me since i had stupidly trusted being a hsbc premier client! There is nothing wrong with them changing things but i would expect when the relationship ends they would show at least the decency to give you a warning in 3 to 6 months in advance. They supposedly sent out the new terms and conditions which i never receive. It was sent out a week before they actually did the changes and i had already been traveling long before that.. On top of all of this, i was not allowed to redeem my hundred thousands of points through my hsbc premier master card any more but through the lesser card that had very few options and not the advantages of the premier card. They were the points i accumulated while using the hsbc premier master card!! As far as i am concerned they are thieves! This is no way of making business! I will never ever work with hsbc again!

Front of house staff apalling

One three occasions I visited my local branch of The HSBC Dover. I encountered Ms. Jobsworth. What an appaling creature.

I was advise by head office to make a complaint but because of the economic situation was reluctant to mark down the person to a lowly level.

Friday was the last stray and I have made the complaint both locally and nationally.

I will keep you update as to progress.

John
