“Nice community bank”
I travel between Idaho and Oregon often, so I like that the bank has branches in both states. ATM access is good, since they belong to a nationwide network of ATMs with no surcharge. Service is good, and I haven't had any problems with my account -- both business and personal.
They did away with "Free Checking," but the new account only requires a $100 average balance, so I'm not in danger of seeing any fees. My son is a college student and qualifies for a free checking account, which is good -- helps students get started.
All in all, I can't complain -- and I refuse to do business with the BIG national banks. Buy local, bank local.

“Slow Customer Service, New Fees”
I was a customer with Home Federal for several years now, and was upset to find out that my once free checking account is now switching over to a "Secured" Checking account, in which I need an average monthly balance of $100.00 or my account will be charged a maintenance fee of $6.95. I just find this outrageous, forcing a customer into an account they never wanted. If I wanted an account with a fee, I would have one. On top of that the service at the branch I go to is just horrendous. You could stand in line for upwards of 30 min before you would be serviced. As soon as I can I am switching banks.
