after giving a ck for 500.00 i knew i had 350 in the bank. it was saturday and i was on my way to deposit 6000.00 home depot used a process as the same as a debit card which i was not told of. i was on my way to make my deposit which i did. On wed. i ck my acct. an they took 175.00 from my account because they charged me every time i used the debit card. why did they not refuse to accept the card an they saw the 6000.00 deposit an just kept charging me.after removing all my money. that in my mind is theft. being on ss and retired this is wrong. iwill be filing complents with the state, aarp, fed. banking com.along with telling everone i know on facebook, twitter,an local radio stations, and all retired assoc.

“The worst banking experience of my life. Shane, the supervisor was disgusting ”
I was treated horribly at this branch, they have the worst customer service I've ever encountered. The supervisor, Shane had the worst attitude problem! I've never been treated like this at a bank before. Keep your pens, I'm closing my account ASAP!!?

“Horrible”
They have no backup plan if their system goes down and it happens a lot. Couldn't buy groceries or anything several times. I'm done with them.

“horrifying”
I went onto my online account for td bank. This is something I used to do frequently. I haven't done it in a while nor had I looked at my statements. I started going over them with many unauthorized ach transactions as well as checks I never authorized. I immediately call customer service. She tells me to go to a branch to fill out stop payment forms. So I go to the nearest branch by my work on rt 66 in neptune nj. They wouldn't close my account. They wouldn't freeze my account. They are letting them still charge my account for things I never authorized. They also said They would send my Information to There fraud Department and never did. The customer service women told me the fraud department was closed. Come to find out that the fraud department is open till midnight .Today I had received a call about a loan I never applied for on my phone. I called customer service today to see if anything was done. The women tried to help me as best as possible and transferred me to the wrong department but she had given me the direct number to the fraud department. I called and he said he couldn't freeze my account and there was nothing he could do. It looks like I authorized the payments. Now I stopped my direct deposit and I am about 700 dollars in the hole. Thanks to these awesome people not helping me when I needed it. Td bank will never get another penny from me.

“Worse Than Awful”
I am a 30 year customer of TD Bank and their mortgage department has caused me to leave the bank all together.
I have applied to this bank three times - two mortgages and one home equity loan. The first time a year and a half ago I was approved. The next two experiences were disgusting. I have since qualified with another bank at a great rate. I have great credit score. They asked for information from me multiple times, sent out a rude, unqualified appraiser who appraised house too low and it took 4 weeks to get the appraisal, asked for information the second/third time that was different from the first time, called to tell me we were all set to close and wanted to set a date, Called back to say there was a problem with a release of a lien (this wasn't a problem the first time around),then called back to say I was not approved. Worst of all is that no one cares or takes any responsibility for the lack of service. Went to my local branch that I have dealt with for years - they agreed the mortgage dept was having issues but didn't do anything about it. Called the branch again when I had problems with my most recent issues. No return call for first two messages. Third call - no offer of help other than to give me a number to call. I could go on and on with all the ridiculous things they requested from me but I have spent enough time being aggravated with them. This is the first review I have ever written. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Banks should earn your business and TD Bank is clearly not interested in doing that.

“Totally Disgusted with TD Bank”
On April 18, 2013. I went to a TD Bank Branch and applied for
Home Equity Loan for $60,000 for 15 yrs. Gave all information that was asked of me. I was contacted by a Loan Person about 3 days later, stating that I needed to supply 2 current pay stubs with ytd info, last 2 yrs W-2s and proof of pension for at least the next 3 yrs. All was done and faxed. About 1 week later, I received a call from said Load Person, needing more information. This to be last 2 months bank statements ( I use another bank) showing the deposits of pension and a letter composed by me stating why I made more income in 2011 then in 2012. What the hell was that for? I had the branch fax the information along with copies of direct deposits and my banks report of deposits for March and April (not the full bank statement which I feel is none of their business), copies of 1099 Rs and that stupid letter explaining the difference in pay between 2011 and 2012. I do factory work, make $18.19/hr, 5 days a week. TD did their part of property value, checking the insurance(s) and whatever they do. I received a letter stating that my Credit Score from Experian was just under 800. I had a 30 yr mortgage on my home, taken out in 10/1988. It was paid off 04/2012, 5 1/2 yrs ahead of time with no lates. I have 2 credit cards with no balances. All my bills have been paid on time. and I also have a Federal Adjusted Gross Income for the last 5 yrs over $40,000 each yr. Last Thursday (06/06) I received a message from the Loan Person again, stating that she had not received the last fax (dated 05/23) and that if she didn't have that information in hand on 06/10, she would have to decline the application. Well, TD was the one that faxed that info and she doesn't have it? Well who the hell does have it????? Personally, I don't want to deal with TD Bank any longer, she can decline the loan until the cows come home. Or SHOVE IT !! whichever happens first

“Heartbroken!”
My husband and i recently went in to td bank in poughkeepsie, ny for a mortgage. We showed the assistant manager our credit reports and asked if there was any way we would be able to get a mortgage. She told us that we were in luck because she had just taken a mortgage class and that there were alternatives for people with low credit scores. We were given a pre-qualification letter and told to come back when we have found a home. Well we did this, and everything that follows.... Home inspections.... Retained a lawyer put initial down payment down. As soon as it was sent to the underwriter it was denied even though we were assured that the underwriter would comeback to us with what we needed to do and that they could make it happen. Basically if your score is lower than a 620 there is no lender that will approve you even if you have 25% to put down and take care of outstanding debt. This manager could have told us this and saved us alot of money, time and disappointment. Our income is enough to pay the mortgage which is less than we have been paying in rent. I truly feel taken advantage of by td bank i believe they are saying they have mortgages for people just to get the non-refundable application fees that happen to hundreds of dollars in their pockets.

“Returned pending check for nfs after cash deposit made to cover transaction.”
Checked account online last night and saw I needed to move money to cover rent check which was in pending status. Went in at 7:30 this morning and made cash deposit to cover check which was still showing pending. Kept checking account throughout the day and both check and cash deposit were showing in pending status until after 4:00 pm. Now check has been returned for nsf and account charged $35 fee. TD bank has done this to me repeatedly where my direct deposit and a charge have been presented on the same day and they refused the charge and charged me the $35 nsf fee. When I called to complain the rep and the supervisor both kept changing their stories about what status the check was in and the supervisor implied that I don't know how to read my on line account. Am closing account tomorrow. TD needs to be sent the message that consumers won't stand for their fraudulent practices.

“Don't trust my money with TD”
My wife and I have a joint account (saving). She also have a joint account with her father (chequing). Just the other day we went to withdraw $1500. After giving them all our IDs and instructing the teller to take it from my saving account, they took the money from the wrong account. We have to contact the branch, the manager apologize stating that the teller was new and on the job for just a week.
What makes me worry and no longer trust TD is that if I can withdraw from her father's account, what is stopping her father from withdrawing from my account?
I will be closing all my banking with TD next week.
