“ Worst Bank I've Ever Known! Avoid Them At All Costs!”
I work for a small business with my father, and we have a car loan on one of our vehicles with u. S. Bank. For the past several years we have promptly paid our bill via monthly check. Lately i have been helping with technology upgrades and started paying more bills online, including our loan with u. S. Bank. I scheduled 3 online transactions in oct, nov, and dec, but in jan i received a notice with our statement stating that we were delinquent on our loan, and they assessed a fairly hefty fee.
I immediately logged in to check our payment status and discovered that without any kind of notice, u. S. Bank had decided to reverse our december 11th payment. I called and spoke to a guy who told me they reversed the payment because a digit was incorrect with the account number we used (of course he was unable to prove that to me, so i had to take his word for it). We are very careful with things like that, so it is unlikely we made a mistake. I asked why they didn't contact me when the payment didn't go through and he said their Auto-dialer Is in charge of handling those kinds of things. I asked for the times of the calls and the first try was christmas eve, then another two days before new years (a sunday).
It was obvious they were deliberately calling when it was unlikely that anyone would be there. Anyway, they refused to waive the fee and i was fed up, so i told him we would go back to writing checks and hung up. What i learned: u. S. Bank is too incompetent to process an online payment. If it was true that we made a mistake in our entry (highly unlikely), u. S. Bank is too unintelligent to refer to our previously submitted financial info. And when there is a customer discrepancy like this, u. S. Bank puts an Auto-dialer In charge of servicing its clients. After this experience, i would rank u. S. Bank no higher than the Sleazy mechanic Of the financial industry. They are a burden to my company, and an embarrassment to this country.

“Discharge of LEIN on a car loan”
UNBELIEVABLE. I paid my car off in full online and their representatives all acknowledge that. I live in Michigan and have the title in hand with a secured interest (US Bank). I contacted US Bank and requested a discharge of LEIN in order to sell my car. I was told it would be 7-10 days before my request could be processed. Are they kidding? The loan has been paid in full and they are holding my LEIN release hostage until they take care of THEIR processing? Send me the release and take your time doing your in house processing. Every phone call I have made has been to a different agent and I get different answers to every question I have. They need to standardize their training so the same answers are given to the same questions EVERY time. I will NEVER use US Bank again. I will be writing to every car dealer in the Detroit Metro area with my experiences with this bank.

“Less than satisfactory”
We were set to close on Friday, May 17, 2013. We received a call two hours prior to closing that the loan was processed at the wrong amount. It was processed at the original offer, not to agreed upon amount, which was not caught until the morning of closing. The seller was buying a house contingent on the sale of their home and could not close on their new home.
The complete lack of communication from the local US Bank branch was infuriating. If it was not ready to close, or would take extra time, that should have been communicated. We continue to receive little to no communication from US Bank. We are set to close tomorrow, we will see. If it was not so late in the game and would be risking the house we are buying, we would change lenders.
In the future, we will always go local.
I would tell anyone buying a house, use a local lender, don't go with a large corporation. US Bank seemed to have little regard for us, the everyday American.

“They Don't Care”
Have had accounts for years...with a reserve line on my checking...
All of a sudden I log in on line and the Reserve account is gone??? They decided for no real reason..at least they can't give me one that it is closed an in a PAY Down status?? again not sure what that means....Wasn't over drawn or late for payments as it comes out of my checking automatically each month.
So, now have to get monthly statements etc...So closing all accounts and not interested in doing more or any business with US Bank again...US means they are all about them and could give a rip about a customer that has been with them since 1996
GOOD BY to them....

“Bad Lending Experience”
I applied for a 20% down owner occupant loan. A hyper-sensitive in-house appraiser with his "cover yourself" mentality truly tanked this deal.
I am well aware of the three "C"s of lending - however they forgot the fourth, "Common Sense".
US Bank is not the bank to finance or refinance your home loan...

“Horrible”
We refinanced our house 60 days ago and signed a paper stating that if you pay more than 20% of the principle in the first 12 months you have a 2% pre payment penalty. Fast forward 2 months we get relocated for work and I called to see if we could negotiate or waive if we get a US Bank loan on our new and more expensive house and the answer was no and no! I understand everyone refi's like changing underwear, I do not and I am not talking about a 100k loan. The loan is 630,000 so US Bank will collect 12,600 as a pre payment penalty for NOTHING! They could have collected that in the first 3 month interest on my new loan. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AS LONG AS I LIVE!!!!!

“Worst Bank ever!”
Customer Service people are rude and not friendly!!! Have Taken over $600 in overdraft charges from me in the last 6 months! and most of them were not my fault! and today was the last straw! The representative hung up on me after saying he couldn't refund $175 dollars worth of overdraft charges that was their fault to begin with! Shittiest bank ever! I will never recommend them to anyone and as soon as I cover the overdraft charge I will be closing my account!

“The worst I have encountered in 40 years”
I refuse to spend another minute on this bank. Suffice it to say, the customer service is abysmal - they don't care. The procedure for loans is antiquated - they don't care. They have more money than business sense - they don't care. They will tie you up for months on a loan, sucking you dry for every fee they can and then will not give you the loan - they don't care. Trust me and the other reviewers - don't even start with USBank. ANY bank would be better. I wish I could go before Congress and tell my USBank story. Greed, greed, greed and no financial basis for decisions. If every member of the USBank board read all the poor reviews on the internet about their bank - guess what - they wouldn't care. It's their culture.

“Don't waste your time and energy with this bank!”
I wish I had run into this website before I opened an account with this horrific bank. From very first day, US Bank made errors in my accounts. The process of correcting the errors were extremely painful due to the consistency of level quality and unprofessional service handled by the most incompetent workers the industry has to offer. Not only they were incompetent, they were rude, clueless, and good only going around the circle. Contacting the headquarters in MN would only bring your blood pressure up because you'd be dealing with a bunch of human robots whose incompetence is far worse than a broken vending machine!
In short, do yourself and your friends a favor: DO NOT even step into a US Bank. It's not worth it!
