“Not much to complain about...”
This is a great bank/insurance company. Insurance rates are reasonable/low. And the annual rebate checks are an extra special added bonus. Customer service is, well, still, customer service. You speak to an actual human and they are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and nothing like what other companies now call customer service.
Online banking has improved and is far superior to most other banks. Although I miss the feature that predicted your account value at certain points in the future, why did they get rid of that? I pay all my bill online through USAA and couldn't be happier. Been doing this for many years (5+) and never once had a payment be late.
To the user upset about the 6 transactions/month..... That's a federal law, not USAA. Most other banks charge $10 per transaction beyond 6. And it only relates to electronic transactions, which for most of us are all of them since there aren't brick and morter facilities in most states. Consider switching your children to the checking instead of savings account and/or a combination. Transfers are a breeze.
It's only too bad everyone isn't eligible for USAA accounts. My friends and colleagues would love the opportunity, their banks (Chase, Wachovia, WAMU, Citi, and others) charge fees like they are going out of style and have no customer service.
Thank you USAA. Please don't change.
