“I've had issues with Advanta Credit Card”
Raising rates when I have paid on time-Holding my payment for 2-weeks so it then shows I am past the due date-Talking to someone in India that I can not understand-very rude. Not sending me statements so I have no records on payments. I went on the website and I have seen many compliants about Advanta. Looks like there will be a class action suit against Advanta.

They jacked up the interest on my credit card with only a few days notice, which did not give me time to stop my automatic payments. Now they are offering you great interest if you give them money for a CD? Beware, they are going under and taking our money with them.

Many Small Business have experienced the wrath of Advanta's High Interest. Including myself. My Interest rate went from 7.9 to 32%. I never was late even one day. They wouldn't work with us at all. “The O% Interest Balance Transfer Teaser is a Fraud!”
Signed up my Business for a Credit Card with a 0% interest balance transfer for 15 months. When I got the billing they were charging me 17% interest. Called cutomer serviceto straighten it out. They said they would start an IT investigation to clear it up. Told me I'd get a call in 3 days. No call. I called them again and was told to try again next Monday. After a week I called back and was told the investigation would take 10 business days, with a promise to call me back. No call. I call again and am told the lady handling my inquiry was out but they'll have her call me tomorrow. No return call. A couple of days later I call again. This is now 19 days since I started this inquiry. Finally got put through to someone who claimed to be a supervisor. I asked if there had really been a inquiry and never got a straight answer. She said I had not signed up for the 0% interest transfer card but the one with the high interst rate, even though I had printed out the contract terms when I did sign up and they clearly stated about the 0% balance transfer option. Basicly called me a liar and refused to cancel any of the interest charges. I asked then that they at least remove the charges for the 19 days of their supposed investigation and was again refused. At that point I asked for the payoff amount so I could cancel the card. I beleive I was deliberately defrauded and the the tactic was then to delay me as long as possible. I am out several hundred dollars in interest charges and have been placed in a difficult spot financially. This bank is not worthy of anyones trust! I would never do business here again.

This is not a bank to trust with your money. Our small business used their credit services for business travel, and without excuse, they raised our "lifetime" rate from 7.9 to 22% with a two week notice. Without concern for a consistent and reliable customer, I wonder if they are not financially unstable and needing to get funds immediately.
Read the fine print and ask lots of questions before even considering using this financial institution.
