“seem incompetent”
I visited 2 of their branches about opening a new account, and both times I was greeted with long waits, unprofessionalism, and staff that appeared somewhat incompetent.
“BB&T is the worst bank in the world”
I have been a customer with BB&T for over three years now and I must say that I have never been treated as poorly as I have lately by them. I entered a deposit. A deposit cleared the same day as an automatic payment that I set up. The funny thing is that despite the deposit having posted in full to my account, I was told that the check had a hold on it and the payment therefore over drafted my account. Not only did they charge an overdraft fee on that transaction, they charged 9 of them. This bank is a complete rip off. Local banks definitely care about their customers far more than big banks. Give them a try instead of these scamming, conniving thieves.
“Unwilling to work with you at all.”
Do yourself a favor and go with a small hometown bank. These banks will work with you and genuinely care about your business. BB&T will not work with you and you are just a number to them. Overdraft charges are outrageous and they will place them on your account before the item formally posts. Never ever use them as a bank.
“I've had issues”
My bank CHARGE FOR EVERYTHING!!! They even charge to call there customer service line. I have been banking w/ BB&T for two years and they have held my deposits, held and they hold my personal checks and cash them in the order that they seem fit. And whenever you overdraft from the account, they will NOT refund you any of YOUR money back even if they know they did you wrong. I do not appreciate their service and I will never bank with them again!!!
“Wow! What a great bank!”
I have so far been with BB&T for a year and eight months I love this bank they have been very helpful with my account and they have been there when I needed there help if you want a good bank to deal with in TN this is a bank you will want to deal with you can also go onto there website and see if there is a bank in your state and if there is get an account there is an opening deposit of 50.00 but you will never regret going there.
