Fees up the Wazzoo

I opened an account with Chase two weeks ago in order to take advantage of a "free" $125 that comes with keeping an accountfor six months. since that time I have written one check. While doing nothing else with the account, I have recieved $116 in fees. If I had not called to reverse them all, my $125 would be down the drain in less than two weeks, so keeping the account for six months would be ludacris. I see why they pay people to keep their account open.
The first issue was with them charging me for checks without telling me. What bank these days charges you for your first boxs of checks? But even so, what institution would charge you without telling you? So when I wrote my first check, it was insufficient funds. I might have been ok with that except that they charged me for both a returned check fee and an insufficient funds fee when the ceck was cashed. So was it returned or used? I can't be both, yet I was charge for both.
After that, I decided not to use the account because of all the fee's yet somehow two weeks later, I recieved a $35 fee. I called and asked about it, andd they said that there was a form missing. I checked my mail box and found that the form was delivered just that day. They refused to give me back the $35 that I needed for bills until they had this form. How do they excuse holding my money hostage for a form that I had not even recieved yet?
In short this is not a bank, but an elaborate scam to get your money. DO NOT USE CHASE BANK. the $125 is not worth the time and effort needed to constantly monitor my account for their theft. And make angry phone calls to eventually get it back.

I've had issues

Chase is a horrible bank!!! I have been always paying everything on time so far. Never had a late payment. They just send me a check that i can transfer funds from my business account with no interest for a year. So I did write the check for 6000 to my checking account, which was like a benefit because of my good credit. Well on the very next morning they called me and said that they just reduce my personal credit cards because of no reason!!!!!!

Well i can just tell you guys DO NOT USE CHASE !!!!!!
Those guys sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chase Bank is the most evil and corrupt bank I have ever been with

I have had several banks in my life, and have been fairly satisfied. I switched to Chase a few years ago because my mortgage was with them. I have come to realize that Chase is the most unethical and corrupt bank out there. They are thieves and preying on people especially in this difficult economy.

Last week I was out of town and used my debit card at a cafe at the hotel we were staying at. My account was low but I was getting paid in a couple days and have direct deposit. I had more than enough to cover the two small debits at the cafe. I knew this for sure because the cafe had a computer for customers to use so I checked my balance. There were no other pending transactions other than the two small transactions at the cafe I had put through. When I got home that evening, I checked my online banking again and noticed that there was another transaction pending from later in the day from the toll authority. Apparently my transponder on my car was low on tolls so the toll authority put through an automatic debit without any warning. My account did not have enough in it that day to cover the toll authority debit so I knew I would be charged one fee. The toll authority charge was listed after the two small cafe debits so the toll charge was the last debit of the day and the only one that would have caused an overdraft. I accepted the one fee and had no problem paying it. But after my payroll check was direct deposited, I noticed Chase had charged me 3 overdraft fees for a total of $105.00. I looked again at my online banking account and noticed that Chase had rearranged the order of the debits and put the toll authority debit before the two small cafe debits. This switch in order gave Chase the opportunity to hit me with 3 fees instead of the one. I was furious and I called their customer service department.
I told them that I knew they had rearranged the sequence of the debits which maximized their fees against me and they ADMITTED TO IT. They said they can arrange them however they choose without regard for the

Who needs money? Apparently Chase doesn't think I do...

I had the accelerated payment program with WAMU since 2002 and everything had run smoothly until I tried to cancel and set up account for 1 monthly payment with CHASE. .

Iâve had this mortgage since 2002 and never been late, in the contrary Iâve been ahead w/the accelerated program.
I went to branch and had AP account cancelled. Customer Rep made all the calls for me and had the account cancelled. Apparently AP account was never cancelled, which is fine. I know people make mistakes BUT since we had cancelled the AP account CHASE automatically started making unauthorized mortgage withdrawals from my checking account. Yes, 2 payments per month (1 from AP account and one from CHASE bank) and my husband lost his job⦠wow, I must be super woman I can do 2 payments per month?!? No, actually my account is in the RED and I keep getting hit with the NSF fees. But according to the branch manager the mortgage transaction did not cause me to go in the RED, it was the checks I wrote the day after the unauthorized payment was withdrawn⦠youâve got to be kidding me??? Stupid me, I should have known CHASE was going to withdraw 2 UNAUTHORIZED mortgage payments from my account!

Oh, and they said it would take 3 days to look in to the issue⦠That was Monday, today is Friday evening and Iâve had no answers. They must think people donât need their money and work for sun. No, I donât need to pump gas to make it to work; No, I donât need to buy groceries; No, I donât need to buy my medication. Who needs money???

I do have to say, the counter people at the Mission Viejo Branch have been trying to help and have been the ones to make all the calls for me. Before I went to them w/my issues I went to the Foothill Ranch Location and the were âVERY HELPFULâ⦠they sat me on a table and dialed the 800 number for me and had me hold for over 20 minutes because they donât have access to th

HORRIBLE bank - Chase

RUN from Chase like hell !!

They are definetly the WORST bank i have ever dealed with

Once they acquired WAMU, they raised my APR up to the sky and closed my credit card.

Every time i call them they threat me as a S**T , no single step towards helping me and there is one single answer when i tell "i'm gonna go bank elsewhere" .. the answer is "it's your choice" .. is like we don't give a F about you ..

NEVER NEVER NEVER do a business with them

If you have account with them - CLOSE it asap !!

That's my advice, feel free to not trust me - but do a search for "chase review" on google and READ before you ever think about Chase

Below is the mumba-jumba sent to me as a notice of terms change. This mumba-jumba just happened to be a notice of APR sky-rocketing

You are in default under any other agreement for any other
account or loan with us or any of our related companies,
such as you fail to make a payment when due.

I can't seem to understand how can this mumba-jumba mean "APR increase" .. i've read it 20 times already ..

Fee insanity....

After years of okay service, weird bank charges started to appear in my checking and savings accounts. I got a few removed over the phone, but they kept happening, and I finally went to speak to a branch manager to close my accounts. She tried to explain all the fees until she hit one even she couldn't explain - and then she willingly closed them all.

I kept the credit card until today. Chase changed my due date without telling me, and even though I logged online to pay it that day, I was two hours past the deadline and got hit with a $40 fee that they won't refund because "we only refund fees in case of bank error."

So being a good customer who paid on time for four years has earned me no respect at all. I'll be finding a new credit card, and I won't be doing business with Chase EVER again.

Chase Bank Gangsters!

When WAMU was taken over by Chase, they bumped my credit card interest rate to 29.9 percent! I always pay my bills on time, never miss a payment. My husband is ill and lost his job, and I have been the sole wage-earner with no assistance from anyone or any agency. I called and asked them to lower my interest rate - and although they agreed that I am a loyal customer who always pays on time - they could NOT lower my annual percentage rate (APR) - period! They were RUDE and arrogant. I pointed out that they have no problem taking government money via us taxpayers but have no mercy nor courtesy for their customers! I strongly believe that there should be a CREDIT CARD REVOLUTION - and let these banks know what we think of their POWER TRIP! Perhaps if we all turned our backs on paying these exorbitant interest rates - they might come begging "hat in hand." It is disgusting how arrogant and unkind this bank is. It is truly stunning, and I hope that consumers rebel against their corporate greed!

I've had issues

I had Wamu for three years and it wasn't the best Chase the costumer service told me I had time to pay the overdrafts fees. When I went to the bank to pay they told me it was close and there was nothing they can do to help me, because they did not know why I was told I had time to make a deposit. They are very rude and expect me to open a new account without the Wamu benefits.

Watch out for Chase predatory fees

I have been a good customer for years, but that doesn't matter. Chase will take advantage of you with fees every chance they get. I am canceling my credit card and checking account. I can't support sleezy businesses.

Chase Credit Cards SUCK!

I want EVERYONE to know that Chase Credit Cards are a rip-off!!! My credit card got swallowed up by Chase. They instantly increased my APR to 31.99%. I started trying to pay the card down by making huge payments ($1200.00) on the card every chance I got, how did they repay me in return? They decreased my limit so they could jack me over on the interest and reported to the credit bureau's that I am constantly close to my limit which lowered my credit score. I am paying that badboy off as soon as possible and will NEVER do business with Chase ever again. I have never paid a payment late and always payed more than the minimum and they will not lower my APR. STAY AWAY from CHASE credit cards!!!!!!
